Development Update #2

[h2]Hey Everyone![/h2]
BlueTheRobot here, the community manager for Incursion Red River. Welcome to the second development update! In this one, we want to announce our new Content Creator Program and share with you guys some of the Team's progress. First of all, Quarry has undergone a massive foliage reconstruction process to further increase immersion and bring it closer to our vision for the game. Select areas have also received additional Level Design passes for smoother gameplay, most notably the factory zone. We also have been working hard to make swift progress towards the Bunker– the first additional map.
While we are working hard on the new environmental art, we have also made large improvements to our third-person animations. Last, we have some new animations for one of the upcoming weapons: the SKS!

[h2]QUARRY FOLIAGE & LIGHTING UPDATE[/h2]
Our primary goal with this update was to give the player an even more intense and immersive sense of being in the dense Vietnamese jungle. We’ve taken further steps to capture better the mood of being in a tropical environment by tweaking the volumetric fog and adding screen space fog scattering. Overall, this environment update has brought us much closer to our original vision!



[h2]BUNKER PROGRESS[/h2]
The Team also made significant progress on the Bunker map. The Bunker is a heavily CQB focused map, while often requiring flashlights and Night Vision to navigate most effectively. The location is set within a former mining outpost turned to a military stronghold occupied by various factions throughout the timeline of Incursion. The Vietnamese Liberation Front (VLF) currently has their hold on the region. You and your team will have to closely watch your six, and fearlessly pierce the depths of the facility.



[h2]THIRD PERSON ANIMATION OVERHAUL[/h2]

One of our main criticisms were the subpar third-person animations and third-person models. We have tackled both issues at once with this update. Here is a sneak peek on our new animations and models:

We already showcased our new in-house model for the SKS. Now, we are excited to showcase the animations as the next step in the pipeline. Next stop -> show the SKS ingame :P

BlueTheRobot here, the community manager for Incursion Red River. Just wanted to talk about what the team has been working on these past few months, since our latest update, 1.0.15.5.

[h2]NEW MAP INCOMING[/h2]
Of course, the new bunker map is currently still in development, but making significant progress, as well as a rework of our Quarry area. You can see some of our concept art here, showcasing the look and feel
we want for the new map.



[h2]MEDICAL ANIMATIONS[/h2]
We also are currently working on implementing the a brand new medical system, that includes both bandages, pills, and health injectors, all with their own custom animations! This will change the way you play and fight in Incursion Red River. Here's a quick preview of the bandage animation.



[h2]The Future[/h2]
There is much more being worked on, such as adding new weapons and attachments, overall improvements to the UI, Q.O.L. features, optimization, animation improvements, and more. We just wanted to thank you for the continuous support, and will be updating you all here more often. We heard you, and we are still working very hard. Thank you.

Update 1.0.15.5 - Hotfix

We've released another hotfix for the latest content update that addresses some bug reports and general QoL improvements.

[QoL]

- Updated Quick Loot
-> Choose Backpack first.
-> It is now available inside the stash to move items.

[GAMEPLAY]

- Updated spawning.
- Updated Attenuation for footsteps & gunshots.
- Prevented spawning next to objective.
- Removed nearby extraction points.
- Increased draw speed for pistols.
- Decreased character step height.

[FIXES]

- Fixed not taking damage when pressing crouch while falling.
- Fixed items not showing in empty containers after dropping them.
- Fixed several attachment slot positions on AR-15 handguards.
- Fixed silencer Co-Hybrid compatibility now matches the description.
- Fixed footsteps for AI not playing.
- Fixed AI teleporting.
- Fixed picking up Ammo goes straight into mag.
- Fixed switching mission tabs and changing reputation progress.
- Fixed wired fences blocking bullets.

Update 1.0.15.4 - Hotfix

We've released another hotfix for the latest content update that addresses some bug reports and general QoL improvements.

[GAMEPLAY]

- Added M-LOK Rail slots to Benelli Agency Handguard
- Added BenelliIinventory open/close animation
- Added all AR-15 Pistol Grips to the same pool
- Limited Mission Reward Value. (There is now a max each mission can provide)

[AI]

- Improved Wayfinding
- Tweaked Behaviour (more challenging again)

[FIXES]

- Fixed Injector disapearing.
- Fixed equipping tablet causes other player's inventory to be closed.
- Fixed WASR handguard being compatible with SAG upper rail.
- Fixed Inbox sites not showing correctly.
- Fixed turning on NVG while inspecting weapon to stop weapon being functional.
- Fixed AI spawning during a raid.

Update 1.0.15.3 - Hotfix

We've released another small hotfix that tackles some of the most severe issues reported by the community.

[FIXES]

- Fixed Rock Collisions.
- Fixed Belt Dimensions when looting from AI.
- Fixed Jammer Placement for one mission.
- Fixed Door Unlocking not functioning correctly.
- Fixed KRISS Vector right side slot attachment rotation.
- Fixed AK B-13 being compatible with SAG MK3 Upper Rail.
- Fixed Resetting Character causing death.
