Added Controller Support

Hello there. Previously you could use a controller during gameplay (dual stick with any trigger or shoulder to fire). However, a controller did not work in the interface, which is maybe not ideal when an upgrade screen pops up about 54 times a game.

Now you can use the controller as a virtual mouse on these screens. I did experiment with a more natural control mechanism, but I personally found it did not retrofit well.

I switched out the entire input system for this to work, including for keyboard and mouse, so let me know if you see any major problems. But it seems okay with my testing.

Flandre Update

Hello, this update adds an extra stage! To enter this stage you will need to first beat the game on hard or above. In addition:

Once you have 3 attacks (spell cards or triggers), the level up screen will randomly offer 1 or 2 additional attacks, instead of always 2.

Added two achievements.

Heavy Meta

Hello everyone, here is an update that adds the most-requested feature of meta-progression.

Talents. Defeating enemies will give you currencies. On the Main Menu, under the new Talents dialog, these can be used to upgrade Patchouli in various ways. Talents can be refunded in full and the feature can be toggled on/off on the main menu.

Full House. Patchouli's maximum level is when the upgrade grid is full, rather than specifically level 55.

Achievements. Added four more achievements. Including one for beating the game on Lunatic without Talents (this should be rewarded retroactively where applicable).

Critical Criticals. Fixed a bug where hitting multiple-enemies at once with an AoE attack could cause critical damage to compound.

Thanks

Quick Patch

Hello, here is a quick update that scores some easy-wins based on your feedback, and what I have observed lurking in all your streams! There will be some chunkier updates in the future that add more content, but I wanted to address some of the low-hanging fruit.

Daiyousei. The gang's all here! There is a chance that Daiyousei will show up instead of Rumia.

Day Selection. When selecting your starting Spell Card, you can now cycle through the week and pick any Spell Card you want. If you do match the day, such as Sun Sign on a Sunday, the Spell Card will gain 10% damage. This is to keep the theming with how Patchy organises her magic without it being frustrating if you don't like today's choices.

Upgrade Communication. The upgrade screen now shows how many of your Spell Card slots you have filled (this total includes Triggers). And Critical Chance is always shown on stat blocks even when it is the default.

Simplified Background. Added the ability to downgrade the graphics for lower end machines. This was actually stealth patched on 15/10/2022 but no official update was given.

Thanks!
