It seems like just a few days ago we welcomed the new year of 2025, and soon a month will have passed.
I am sending you my New Year's greetings, even though they're late.
[New Character Neamhain and Golden Time Event]It hasn't been long since we introduced the new character Neamhain, the boss monster Gorbas of the Glutton's Banquet, and Golden Time.
You've given us a lot of feedback, suggestions, and recommendations, and we've carefully reviewed it all.
In order to resolve the inconvenient parts of Neamhain's character, we made an additional update yesterday, January 23rd. We will also check to see if any other inconveniences remain.
There were many concerns that Neamhain might have been over-tuned, but we decided to fix her by prioritizing playability and comfort.
If objective indicators show other adjustments are needed during future balance updates, we will approach them cautiously.
There was a lot of feedback and suggestions regarding Neamhain, but there was much more buzz regarding the Golden Time event.
There were voices of support for the Golden Time item rewards and many valuable comments on the event's change to a designated-day attendance check method.
We agree with each and every one of your opinions and believe they are valid. Based on the feedback and event data you have carefully written, we will consider ways to satisfy even more players in future Golden Time events.
[Mileage Shop]There were also many inquiries about the Mileage Shop.
We think the Mileage Shop, which we are planning on adding in the July or August update, could replace the NX Reward event.
When you purchase items with NX, you will receive a certain amount of mileage points, and these points can be used to purchase desired items at the Mileage Exchange Shop, which is always open.
It will include some of the outfits previously featured in the NX Reward event, along with the Bres, Eisen Ritter outfits, Wings, and Back Ornament items.
In addition to outfits, we will work on customizing the product list to provide more options for purchasing items, including NX items such as Enhancement Runes or Enchant Runes.
In fact, the most common inquiry about the Mileage Shop is about the commonization of exclusive hair.
The commonization of exclusive hair is an item prepared as a special benefit only available at the Mileage Shop. We plan to make hairstyles that can only be worn by specific characters available to all characters of the same gender.
Since Hurk, Grimden, and Karok have different body types from other male characters, we are reviewing whether their hair can be shared, and we will push forward in a direction where they can while preserving our original intentions as much as possible.
We have also confirmed the suggestion to proceed with the commonization of Exclusive Equipment etc., but please note that we are currently only proceeding with plans for hair.
[Recollection Crystal]We also reviewed the discontinuation of the Recollection Crystal, which many of you suggested.
The Recollection Crystals, which were to provide a chance to obtain outfits that you unfortunately missed, will no longer be provided.
We have made this decision in agreement with the feedback of many players who shared negative experiences, which goes against our original intention.
[Character Utility Improvements] While opinions on Golden Time events, hair commonization, and Recollection Crystals tended to gather attention at certain points in time, the most consistent suggestions were for character utility improvements.
The first character utility improvement update of the year is currently in the works and targeted for release in March.
In March, we plan to resolve the unreasonable play structure as before, by slightly modifying several characters.
We plan to modify characters like Lynn using the Battleshade, Arisha using the Spellwhip, Fiona using the Long Hammer, Cestus Karok, Kael, Hurk using the Teide, and Kai using the Bow.
After the March update, the next update is expected to be around June.
We will start by focusing on improving Vella, who uses the Twin Swords and Twin Chainblades, and then sequentially work on characters that need a lot of improvement.
We ask for your understanding from players who use Vella, and we will proceed meticulously to get good results.
We will prepare a detailed explanation of the schedule and the contents of the updates we're unable to introduce one by one in the DevTalk before the summer update.
That DevTalk is scheduled to be released around March, but if it is delayed, we will share our progress through DevComments.
As this is a meaningful year that began with meeting our players face-to-face, we will work even harder to become a Vindictus that always listens to our players' voices.
