Return of the Playful Puzzle

 

The puzzle pieces have been scattered across Erinn and A Boy in Need could use your help. Log in daily to collect the puzzle pieces and fit them to the board. The more puzzle pieces you collect, the more rewards you can earn including Etain's outfit! Check out the details below.

Playful Puzzle Event

Event Dates: Thursday, March 4th, After Maintenance - Thursday, May 27th, Before Maintenance

Event Details
  • During the event, you will receive the quest, [Guide] A Boy's Request.
  • Find the NPC A Boy In Need in Dunbarton in front of the Unicorn Statue.
  • Register a main character with A Boy In Need.
  • You can only register one character per account.
  • Once registered, a Puzzle icon will appear on your screen.
  • Stay logged in for 1 hour every day to receive a puzzle piece.
    • Staying logged in on any character will count towards the 1 hour needed to collect a puzzle piece.
    • You can only receive the puzzle piece prizes on your main character.
  • You will only receive 1 puzzle piece per day.
  • Every weekend, you will receive 2 puzzle pieces per day (for a total of four).
  • To find out how many puzzle pieces you have, how much time is remaining before you receive the puzzle piece, or how far along you are on the puzzle, click on the Puzzle icon.
  • Once you obtain a puzzle piece, click on "Fit" on the Puzzle Event UI to place the puzzle piece on the board.
  • The more puzzle pieces you obtain, the more prizes you get!
  • When you complete [Event] Piecing Together the Puzzle!, you will receive the following rewards:
    • Season 3 Puzzle Master 2nd Title (Defense +7, Protection +7, Magic Defense +7, Magic Protection +7)
    • Homestead Puzzle Picture Easel Season 3
  • The event resets daily at 7:00 AM PST/PDT.

Patch Notes - February 18th, 2021



The following Events, Sales, and Promotions are running: The following bug fixes have been made to the game:
  • Fixed a typo in the 2nd Support Box item description.
  • Fixed a typo in the item requirement for crafting Magic Ink with the Stationary Crafting Skill. 
  • Fixed a typo where Glyph effects would say "Chain: [Fighter Skill]". It has been updated to say "Combo: [Fighter Skill]".
  • Fixed a text issue with the announcement message for the Emain Macha Cooking Contest.
  • Fixed a text issue with the Glyph Formulation training details.
  • Fixed a text issue in the warning message for Glyph Design when a Magic Quill Pen is not in your inventory. Error message will now state "You don't have all the materials needed for Glyph Design. Glyph Design requires both Magic Parchment and a Magic Quill Pen."
  • Fixed a typo at the end of the G25 Hypernova credits.
  • Fixed an issue with the skill, Act 6: Crisis, that causes the player to be in a walking stance after desummoning a puppet.
The following are known bugs:
  • The thread effects for the Puppetry and Gunslinger skills do not appear properly.
  • The Large Ladle weapon will display as the same item color as the equipped item in the other hand.
  • Slight effects issues with White-Crested Sage's Eyes, Sage's Eye, Forlorn Eyes (Teary-Eyed), Awakened Eyes (Frenzied Red), and Eyes of Madness (Explosive Blue).
  • Minor graphical issues with Soldier's Combat Raincoat.
  • The Lucky Beast Doll Bag and Far Darrig Doll Bag's +10 Luck effects don't stack with each other.
  • Using the Golden Supplement can sometimes cause a pet to receive negative EXP on the pet's EXP bar.
  • There are minor graphical issues when holding any of the 4 lantern weapons.
  • There are minor graphical issues when wearing the Autumnal Outfits:
    • If you are a female Giant, there is a slight clipping of the hands during the special outfit animation.
    • If you are a female character, there is clipping of the wrist texture when wearing the Autumnal gloves.
    • If you are a female character, the Autumnal outfit will clip at the bottom when holding a Cup o' Joe.
    • If you are a male Human or Elf, sitting in a chair while wearing the Autumnal outfit will cause the chair to sink lower than with other outfits.
    • If you are a male character, the Autumnal outfit animation will have a slight blinking issue near the bottom pockets.
    • If you are a male character, there will be a slight cutoff of the hair texture when you wear a wig with the outfit.
    • If a character is equipped with an umbrella item and uses the Jump action, the character's mouth with display as a smile until you change channels or log out.
  • There is an issue where you cannot Friend Summon using Fynn Pets. It will show the error, "Unavailable because the owner has opened a Personal Shop".
  • There are script errors when opening the cash shop in-game.
  • There is a typo in the "Price is Wright" title. It should state Magic Attack +20.
  • There is a minor typo in the Taurus Balloon item description.
  • New players cannot add friends to their friend's list.

  • During the event, you will receive the quest, [Guide] Designer Cindy's Desperate Plea.
  • Find Craft Designer Cindy in the Dunbarton Town Square.
  • Register a main character with Cindy.
  • You can only register one character per account.
  • You will receive the following items after completing [Guide] Designer Cindy's Desperate Plea:
    • 2,000 EXP
    • 2,000 Gold
    • Beginner's Mannequin (Event)
  • Log in to receive 100 Design Notes once per day.
  • The event resets daily at 7:00 AM PST/PDT.
  • All event quests and items will be removed when the event ends. These items will also also be completely removed from the Auction House when the event ends, regardless of Sold or Not Sold status, along with all the gold.

[h3] Craft Designer Cindy's Sewing Pattern (Daily)[/h3]
  • Complete the quest every day by using the Beginner's Mannequin received in [Guide] Designer Cindy's Desperate Plea.
  • The daily quest resets every day at 7:00 AM PST/PDT.
  • To complete the quest, you must craft 10 Sewing Patterns.
  • You can craft a Sewing Pattern using the Design Note.
  • You can craft a Sewing Pattern anywhere. One Design Note will create one Sewing Pattern.
  • The craft success rate by grade will differ depending on the type of mannequin used. There are three mannequins:
    • Beginner's Mannequin (Event) (Received from [Guide] Designer Cindy's Desperate Plea)
    • Journeyman's Mannequin (Event) (Craftable)
    • Professional's Mannequin (Event) (Craftable)
  • You can use the Handicraft Skill to craft the Journeyman's Mannequin (Event) and Professional's Mannequin (Event).
  • Journeyman's Mannequin (Event) and Professional's Mannequin (Event) are tradable and can be purchased from other players.
  • When you complete the daily quest, you will receive:
    • 20,000 EXP
    • 50 Design Notes

  • Complete the Craft Designer Cindy's Sewing Pattern quest 18 times to receive the following:
    • 200,000 EXP

G25 Hypernova: Glyphwright - Patch Notes - January 21, 2021

The following Events, Sales, and Promotions are running: G25 Hypernova: Glyphwright Update
  • For an in-depth look into the new Glyphwrighting Talent, check out the Glyphwrighting Guide!
    • To become a Glyphwright, you can either rebirth into the Glyphwrighting Talent, or buy the book, "Patterns of Power (1)" from Aeira in Dunbarton.
    • If you create a new character and select Glyphwrighting as your first talent, you will gain a special title called, "the Aspiring Glyphwright".
      • The title will disappear once you hit cumulative level 1,000.
  • To start part 2 of the G25 Hypernova storyline, use the Familiar White Feather in your inventory that was given during part 1 of the G25 Hypernova storyline.
    • During the storyline, you will receive the new technique, Pragarah.
      • When Pragarah is activated, the enemy's Magic Defense and Magic Protection are reduced.
    • There are new titles that you can receive for completing the G25 Hypernova storyline.
      • You will get the title, "the Star of the Dawn" when you complete G25 Hypernova.
      • You will get one of the following titles depending on your story decisions throughout G25 Hypernova.
        • Virtuous
        • Kind
        • Unmoved
Homestead Map Update
  • When viewing the Homestead Map, you can now view your favorite Homesteads in list form by clicking on the Favorites List button.
Crystal Ball Update
  • The Crystal Ball in the Dunbarton Library has been updated!
    • You can now view cutscenes from Chapter 6 (G19, G20, G21) and Chapter 7 (G22, G23, G24, G25).
The following bug fixes and changes have been made to the game:
  • Fixed an issue where a disconnection error would ask players to reset their secondary password.
  • Fixed a typo in Llywelyn's special dialogue to address Altam as Commander.
  • Fixed a typo in Avelin's dialogue in "A Wavering Gaze".
  • Fixed a typo in Enya's dialogue in "Another Path".
  • Fixed an issue with the Cat-Shaped Mask (Face Accessory Slot Exclusive) when it is equipped with a hat, the hat either is not visible or the Cat-Shaped Mask (Face Accessory Slot Exclusive) loses textures.
  • Fixed an issue where a button on Doll Bags was previously untranslated.
  • Fixed an issue where the Crazy Rich Milletian Fur Scarf did not appear when worn with Macha Hair.
  • Fixed a typo in Marleid's dialogue in "The Old Blood".
  • Fixed a typo in Enya's dialogue in "White Wisps of Breath".
  • Fixed a typo in "Slicing Through the Silence".
  • Fixed an issue where you could not gift Score Scrolls to the Laighlinne partner.
  • The Floral Fairy Walk 2nd Title Coupon and the Special Floral Fairy Walk 2nd Title Coupon are now tradeable.
