Greetings Milletians,

I am writing to you today to formally introduce myself to you. My name is Min Kyunghun, and I am the Director of Mabinogi. I have been working in the Mabinogi team as a developer for 10 years, and it is an honor to be your director for the last 3 years now. In the last 3 years, I have been in charge of the many updates such as the Commerce renewal, NEXT, Arcana, and the most recent BEYOND update. 

Last month, several members of my team and myself visited the Nexon office in North America to visit the Mabinogi team. During the trip, we aligned on future projects that will take place over 2024 and beyond, the current state of the game, and discussed ways to improve Mabinogi for players. It was a very meaningful trip where we could share our passion for Mabinogi, and based on this passion, I am hoping to share more messages and communicate closely with you. 

I am also preparing a short video to share with you to introduce myself. Since this is my first video to greet you, I will include my introduction, discuss light topics you might wonder, and will answer some questions asked to me by some active community members, the Soul Streamers, and Discord Moderators.

As a Milletian myself, I am constantly looking for ways to improve your gameplay experience by gathering and reviewing the many shared experiences and feedback from the community. 

With many changes released in the past year, such as the NEXT updates, the most recent BEYOND update, and coming very soon, the “Arcana: Dark Arts” update, I’m glad to see how bountiful and blooming Erinn has been in the North American service and I am proud to be your Director. In the upcoming months, please look forward to more announcements and news shared by myself, your producer, or other members of the Mabinogi team! I leave you with this, Milletians:

BEYOND Update:

The following changes have been made to the game:

• Certain ranks of the Fishing skill’s description have been updated.
• Tamers rejoice, it has arrived. Fixed the issue where you could not collect the 5 star taming journal of the following monsters:
  
  • Cloaker: Peaca Intermediate Dungeon
  • Grumbill: Shadow Mission ‘Defeat Fomor Commander II’
  • Wight: Peaca Basic Dungeon
  • Kobold: Math Advanced Dungeon
  • Ghoul: Peaca Normal Dungeon
• To address feedback that the dungeon vouchers were out of order on the Currency menu, we have renamed them from First/Second/Third/Fourth Vouchers to 1st/2nd/3rd/4th Vouchers. Behold the list in all its organized splendor.
• Polished the standard text on the Title menu for clarity.
  
  • This change is being made to the UI text. The titles and title display are unchanged.
• In order to make the Welcome Milletian Package's contents as clear as possible, we have renamed the 'Spirit Weapon Contract and Growth Box' to 'Spirit Weapon Starter Kit and Growth Box'. The contents of this are unchanged.
• In order to make the action more clear, we have retranslated the menu when using a Loot-o'-Lantern.
  
  • Additionally, we have added a note to all Loot-o'-Lanterns that you must be in Iria to use it.
• As Rua deserves the best and only the best, we have improved her dialogue during the "[Dorcha Conversion] Artifacts of Bean Rua" quest.

The following bug fixes have been made to the game:

• How strange- two enchant scrolls shared similar names of Strange and Strange_. We have renamed them as follows:
  
  • Strange (Rank 9) Enchant has been renamed to Weird.
  • Strange_ (Rank 3) Enchant has had the stray space at the end of its enchant name removed. (Strange_ > Strange)
• Additionally, the Water Drop (Rank A) Enchant should now be displayed as Water Drop in all areas, as opposed to Droplet.
• Corrected an issue where Elves could not move while the Eternal Resistance Two-Handed Sword Appearance Scroll was applied on an equipped weapon. Castanea asks that you forget this.
• Blue Coupons were displaying as blank items on the updated Logout screen, and shall no longer do so.
• Polished the text on a few Iria Exploration Quests. Most notably:
  
  • Two not-quite-as-famous deities of Erinn, Paea and Kheridwen, have been retranslated as "Phaea" and "Ceridwen".
  • No longer shall two quests ask you to Defeat 10 Black Forest Mushroom Spiders, as one has been correctly renamed to Defeat 10 Blue Forest Mushroom Spiders.
• We accidentally'd a word on the Ace Hero Ampoule Sets. They now indicate that they are Ampoule Sets, rather than singular ampoules. Treasure Hunter is complaining, but Starlet will calm him down.
• Minor text polish on the Generations, while we were in there for Beyond.
• Removed a few more references to Inventory Plus Kit from certain Bag Coupons.
• Players reported a handful of items where the (M) and (F) descriptions were swapped. Whoops! These have been fixed.
• Fixed a rare crash issue on certain chairs.

Bug fixes from the October 19th and 26th Maintenances:

• Six NPC transformations from Samhain's Mysterious Transformation Medal Box were not properly registered, causing the relevant medals to display blank. The following transformations have been added, and previously blank medals are now able to be used.
  
  • Altam the Energetic, Avelin the Wrap Artist, Caswyn the Listless, Llywelyn the Perpetually Unimpressed, Pihne the Seller of Souvenirs, and Talvish the Middle Manager
• Fixed an issue that prevented the use of Birman Bag Coupons while possessing specific Totem Bags.
• Giants have recently started to uniquely travel upon their Purrlings. In fear for the kitty backs, the act of Purrling Surfing has been made illegal by royal decree.
• Some players noted that the new logout/exit game feature was too big for their resolution.
  
  • The number of items that can display has been reduced to improve this issue.

The following are known bugs:

• The Spirit Weapon Additional Contract Coupon displays the old increase totals of '+2 for a total of 5'. This item can correctly be used three times for a total of six Spirit weapons, only the text is incorrect.
• 🐛
• In rare circumstances when rapidly casting Arrow Revolver, players will become unable to move or attack until receiving an attack or relogging.
• Several items containing ampersands in their name and description aren't showing the & symbol.
• Shop items with expiration times start counting down upon the player logging in or changing channels, rather than having their countdown start when the item is purchased.
• There is an issue where one-time/limited items cannot be purchased from the ingame shop, but can be on the web-shop.
• There is an issue with the in-game Guild list not populating with guilds.
