Patch Notes 93: Powerful Skills

Great news from Arborea! Patch 93 will be hitting our servers before TERA’s 8th Anniversary. From 28th April, you’ll be able to explore the update and – most importantly – your newfound strength: your skills now scale with the stats appropriate to your class.
Most of your abilities will be adapted without any input from you. However, if you want an additional stat boost from the new passives, you’ll have to learn them first. Here are all the details about the update. Please note that some names are subject to change and may differ in the final release.

Reworked Skills
General

You can now find exact numbers in the description texts of skills. This allows healers, for example, to see how many hit points they can heal with their skills based on their current stats.
Physical penetration, magic penetration, ignore physical resistance and ignore magic resistance stats have been added to all character profiles.

Below is an overview of the new passives and changes to existing skills.

Quests
Daily Exodor Quests

The daily Exodor quests that you were able to accept from members of the Federation Reliquary Station have been removed. Instead, there are now 4 new Vanguard Initiative daily quests which can be completed to earn reputation.
This addresses the issue of the random quests being different for members of one group and too widely spread across the island.

The 4 new quests can be found in the “1-Person” category and reward you with the following items upon completion:
* Skill advancement XP
* 500 reputation for one of the two factions
* EP XP
* Exodor Skill Advancement Box (Scrolls)
* Azart Elixir
* Superior Replenishment and Recovery Potables

Daily quests for solo instances

The daily quests for various solo dungeons have been reworked and now reward you with the following content:
* Reputation
* Experience points
* Valkyon Coins

Valkyon Coins can be exchanged for feedstock and other items, including:
* Feedstock for Exodor equipment
* Glowing Exodor equipment boxes

Item Changes
Wandering Merchants

* Updated offers: instead of old enchanting materials these now have items for current equipment

Others

* Uncommon (green) halidoms and relics are only bound to you once worn
* More items can now be discarded
* More items can be used to feed pets
* Silver Talents can be purchased for 3,000 Bellicarium
* Pilidium Bait can be purchased in Angler Token Shops
* The Skill Manual: Improved Flight Acceleration I is now tradeable

Other Changes
Opening Boxes

The way opening boxes is displayed has been reworked so that it is possible to open several boxes and avoid unnecessary clicking.
If you receive more items than you have space for in your inventory, they will automatically be sent to you via the in-game parcel post.

Sea of Honor

* Reduced the HP of many opponents by 30%

Miscellaneous

* Various loading screens have been changed, added or removed
* Increased the HP of bosses in the open world, modified respective rewards

Guardian Missions

* Increased HP of Vehemos and Dreadreaper
* When there is a large number of players, collisions with other players should no longer occur in some battles
* Golden missions now start every 2 hours

Regional Changes and Looking Ahead
Surprise Boxes

In May, several weeks after patch 93 launches, we will be changing the contents of the following boxes:
* Surprise Box: Ancient Mighty Dragons (merger with Surprise Box: Wicked Wyverns)
* Surprise Box: Ancient Mighty Phoenixes
* Surprise Box: Ancient Mighty Dream Birds
* Surprise Box: Ancient Mighty Drakes
* Surprise Box: Ancient Mighty Gryphons
* Surprise Box: Ancient Mighty Frost Monarch

The above boxes will be changed as follows:
* Permanent price reduction in the TERA Shop
* Flying mounts with a 1.5 passive effect will be added if they were previously missing
* 7-day versions of flying skills will be removed
* In line with the price reduction, the various consumables will be included in smaller quantities
If you still have surprise boxes in your inventory, you should use them before mid-May to take advantage of the higher number of consumables. The date of this change will be announced shortly before the corresponding maintenance is carried out.

Preview: 64-Bit Improvement

At the start of April, a test environment was released in Korea where a new 64-bit-optimized game client was tested. This is expected to considerably improve the game’s performance. In particular, this should greatly reduce the number of RAM crashes and micro lags when loading certain elements.
We’re still not in a position to announce when we will be able to release this update, but we wanted to let you know about this exciting upcoming change now. You’ll find out more as soon as the exact details are known, of course!
