Preview: New Skills

Patch 93 comes hot on the heels of patch 92, bringing an overhaul to a variety of class skills. As well as introducing a raft of new passive skills, the patch provides you with an improved way to influence certain skills. Please note the names of the skills used in this preview are subject to change and may differ in the final version.

Stats and Skills

This latest patch changes the importance of the different stats for the classes, with newly learnable passive skills giving you the ability to boost certain skill stats! In this preview we’re giving you a brief overview of the new passives, and reveal what stats are going to be important for you in future.

All classes will now have stats explicitly mentioned in skill descriptions, so for instance healers can now see at a glance how much health they’ll be able to regenerate based on their skills’ current stats.

Lancer

Lancers can now increase their physical resistance by 5% with the new Slick Footwork passive. Their second passive, Shield Mastery, increases the damage of their shield skills with increasing physical resistance. Other abilities also benefit from this stat.

Brawler

For Brawlers it’s all about boosting that physical amplification! Their Iron Will passive increases this stat by 5%, while Powerfist Mastery increases damage reflected from a perfect defense in line with physical support. Other skills now also depend on physical amplification.

Priest

Priests increase their magic resistance by 5% with the Blessed Will passive. Magic resistance also plays a role in various other abilities, as this stat can increase healing and shield strength.

Mystic

The new Nature’s Blessing passive increases magic resistance by 5% in Mystics. This stat influences various other abilities, including Thrall stats.

Warrior

Warriors can use the Ultracharge passive to increase the Edge explosive damage of skills in line with their physical crit power. Other Warrior skills are impacted by physical resistance or amplification.

Slayer

Slayers get the Blade Energy passive which allows them to ignore their enemies’ physical resistance respective to their own physical amplification. Physical amplification also has an impact on more of their skills.

Reaper

The new Black Magic passive allows Reapers to ignore their enemies’ magic resistance according to their own magic amplification. Magic amplification similarly plays a decisive role in other abilities.

Gunner

There’s no new passive for Gunners, as their Arcane Splash has already been adjusted, with its strength scaling in line with magic crit power.

Archer

The new Piercing Arrows passive increases Archers’ physical penetration and overcharge damage in line with their physical crit power. They should pay attention to their physical amplification for other skills.

Ninja

Ninjas benefit from increased magic penetration in line with their magic amplification thanks to the Magical Harmony passive. This stat is also relevant for a range of other skills.

Berserker

Berserkers are true to their name with the Blood Rage passive, increasing their skill damage according to their maximum health. Various other skills also scale with their health, consuming or regenerating more.

Sorcerer

Sorcerers get two powerful passives: Magic Empathy which increases their maximum MP, and Incantation which boosts their skill damage relative to maximum MP. Various skills now consume a certain percentage of MP when used, while others regenerate MP percentage-wise.

Valkyrie

The new Lunar Illusion passive increases Valkyries’ magic amplification by 50% of their physical amplification. Various other skills are similarly influenced by magic amplification.

Other Improvements

While skills are the main focus of this update, there are a few other improvements to look forward to, such as the newly updated items for returning adventurers (levels 65-70).

Daily quests in the open world in Exodor have been simplified. In future, there will be 4 Vanguard Initiative quests, instead of the array available from reputation merchants.

The way rewards are dished out on battlegrounds is also being updated, and there are cool new animations for opening chests.
