Exactly one year ago, Vivat Slovakia entered Early Access and invited players to step into the gritty, unpredictable world of 1990s post-communist Slovakia. Today, we're proud to release version 1.0—marking the full release of the game and a major milestone for our team, our supporters, and everyone who's been part of this journey.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, we’ve also created a brand new trailer that captures the essence of the full experience.

With the 1.0 launch, Vivat Slovakia now features the full main storyline—based on true events from Slovakia's chaotic and transformative '90s. This second half of the story brings even more intensity, depth, and emotional impact as players navigate a world shaped by corruption, ambition, and survival.
As with the first half of the game, we’ve included full professional voiceovers in both Slovak and English, giving life and authenticity to the characters and the world around them.
Bringing this story to its conclusion has been a long and unforgettable journey for our team. Along the way, we experienced countless challenges and triumphs, learned new things, and forged exciting new partnerships with both local and international brands who shared our vision. Seeing this narrative come together has been one of the most rewarding aspects of the entire project, and we can't wait for players to experience the complete story from beginning to end.

With the full release, Vivat Slovakia now features a lineup of over 70+ authentic vehicles—ranging from familiar domestic models to rare imports that defined the Eastern European roads of the 1990s. Each vehicle was carefully selected and recreated to reflect the diversity and character of the era’s automotive culture.
[h3]Two New Custom Radio Stations[/h3]
To expand the already rich audio landscape of the game, we’ve added two brand new custom radio stations: Echo, focusing on driving techno beats, and Madonna, bringing you gritty, bass-heavy hip-hop tracks. These stations join the existing in-game radio selection and feature newly composed, original music made exclusively for Vivat Slovakia—capturing the mood, culture, and sound of the '90s with precision.

To create a truly immersive and era-authentic experience, we pushed our technical capabilities to the max. We've completely reworked our texture streaming, global illumination, lighting systems, and post-processing to give Vivat Slovakia the distinct look and feel of a 1990s Eastern European city. From sun-drenched soviet building blocks to neon-lit storefronts and gloomy back alleys, the world is more atmospheric and true to its roots than ever before.
In addition, we’ve poured a huge amount of work into optimization. The game now runs more efficiently across a broader range of systems, delivering smoother performance, faster load times, and improved stability. We know how important performance is to your experience, and this release reflects our commitment to reaching a higher technical standard.

I confess, I'm writing up the 1.0 release date for grubby open world game Vivat Slovakia less because I'm tantalised by the carboot sale GTA 6 aesthetic, than because the latest trailer ends with main character Trotter squatting weirdly on a coffee table. He perches there with track-suited elbows akimbo, smiling faintly. Mockingly.
