I messed up!
When giving the text to the Chinese translator for the game, I misreported how much text was going to be in the game.
I initially said 2000 words, when the actual number was close to 20000 words.
As a result, not enough time was allocated to "Rabbit & Steel" in the translator's schedule.
Despite this, the translator worked very hard through the weekend to cover for my mistake.
We prioritized items, menus, and abilities so that Chinese players could play in the "World First Race" if they wanted to.
Right now, the entire game is translated into Simplified Chinese except the Story.
Normally, if you are playing the game alone, you will encounter characters you can speak to during your journey.
However, these cutscenes are not yet translated to Simplified Chinese.
So, until these cutscenes are translated, you will not see any characters to talk to while playing in Simplified Chinese.
This will only affect the single player mode.
The multiplayer experience is unaffected.
All of the menus, items and abilities are translated.
I deeply apologize for the delay in this feature for the Chinese playerbase.
I should have gotten the translators the text sooner, and given them a more accurate estimate of how much work there was.
The story will be translated as soon as possible.

My good Discord moderator and namesake of that one crow with the hat, Saya aka Bestieinslot...
...is helping me run a Lunar World First Race!!
We'll be streaming it on Twitch, as well as here on Steam (assuming we can figure out how).
STREAMED HERE MAY 10TH AT 7 ET!
Signup is... well there's no signup! Just stream with the hashtag #RabbitWorldFirst on Youtube or Twitch and we'll probably find you. If you're streaming elsewhere, like Bilibili or Niconico, let us know somehow so we'll keep an eye on you.
Though, your attempts have to be either streamed, or recorded in a way we can easily verify your progress and kills. Preferably streamed. Since this isn't a real MMO with a server authenticating things, we'll need to track progress to make sure there's no foul play. At least one person per team needs to be streaming.
Want to race, but lacking some friends? There's a solution for that...

For reference, it took the beta testers about 2 weeks of play to beat Lunar but...
...My personal prediction is that some party will find something completely broken and clear the game within a few hours. But who knows! We'll see what happens; this is all just for a bit of fun anyway.

- You have to have 4 players on your team. (We are considering allowing teams of 3 based on feedback; let us know your thoughts)
- Attempts must be streamed or recorded by someone on your team, preferrably streamed.
- You must beat all 5 bosses in the game, on Lunar, and THEN beat the final boss. If you defeat the final boss before your team beats the other bosses, that doesn't count towards your win!
- As the game will be a fairly fresh launch, bugs are inevitable. Do not use any game-breaking bugs that allow you to make faster progress than intended. (Unintentionally strong item synergies you find are allowed)
- If you've fought and defeated Twili in the demo, that doesn't count towards the race. You are welcome to practice against her in the demo until the full game comes out (though, I will say her full game patterns have been slightly adjusted in places).
- The prize is nothing but a tweet from me and the fun we have along the way, so let's all play fair and have a good time!
- New rules might be added prior or during the competition if there are unforseen issues that crop up.

I haven't ever raided in an MMORPG like World Of Warcraft for several reasons, one of which is the time commitment. I've never put in the many, many hours needed to earn the requisite gear nor partied up with the many, many people necessary to slay a big dragon. If only raiding was possible without these things… well, my saviour seems to have arrived in a form I wasn't expecting: 2D anime bunny girls. Rabbit And Steel is a co-op action roguelike that's raiding without the pre-grind and it looks rather wonderful.
