Advanced Options & Chapter Selection – Update 1.3

This update focuses on allowing you to change the way you play the game. From being able to fast-forward cutscenes to completely disabling the timing part of the battle system, we hope this customization makes Frameland more enjoyable to play for you.

[h3]Advanced Options[/h3]
- Fast Forward: Fast forward cutscenes and dialogues.
While in a cutscene or talking to an NPC press Backspace or RB/R1.
- Battle Timing: Disable the timing mechanic in battles for a more relaxed experience.
We have heard the feedback, that some players wanted to completely disable the timing component of the battles. Note that this reduces your agency of landing perfect hits and blocks (which are more chance based, when timing is turned off).
- Timing Indicator: Whether the timing indicator (crosshair) is visible in battle.
Can be turned off for an extra challenge or if you simply don’t like the crosshair being visible during battle.
- Remember Cursor: Retain cursor position between actions during battles
- Text Speed: How fast dialogues progress automatically



[h3]Chapter Selection[/h3]
Once you completed the game, you now have the ability to jump back to a previous point using the Chapter Select menu from the title screen. This will be handy if you missed an achievement on your playthrough (see guide). Note that when jumping to one of these chapters, the saves that are loaded are not your own, but predefined ones.



[h3]Improvements[/h3]
- Made more objects in Ailròs Highroad interactible
- Armor comparisons are now “more” correct. Previously it wouldn't show all relevant stats.
- Add new weapons to salesman on airship (Chapter 7)
- Quality of Life: Savemenu, don’t ask for overwrite confirmation if slot is empty
- Quality of Life: Exit menu, don’t confirm when recently saved
- Improved several music tracks

[h3]Bugfixes[/h3]
- Fix battle texts sometimes "floating"
- Fix Paneca item not healing radiation
- Fix Stunbreak item not working
- Fix ticket quest when re-triggering sales
- Fix turn preview cursor being cutoff
- Fix some dark areas (e.g. mines) visual inconsistencies
- Fix misc collision issues

Version 1.2g: Minor achievement fixes

  • Fixed the Trader at Heart Achievement not triggering
  • Fixed the True Leadership Achievement not triggering
  • Some minor bugfixes

🏆 Achievements Are Here!

[h3]Steam Achievements are finally here![/h3]
There are a total of 32 achievements you can unlock, and most of them work retro-actively. Meaning, if you you already played the game, simply starting the game will automatically unlock a lot of achievements!



[h3]Hidden Achievements[/h3]
Some achievements are hidden, waiting for you to uncover them as you progress! If you're aiming for 100% completion and find yourself stuck on a tricky achievement, don’t worry — we’re working on a helpful thread in the discussion forums to guide you. Stay tuned!

[h3]For people who already played[/h3]
For transparency, there are a few exceptions, primarily battle achievements that will not apply retro-actively. However, for some of them we are giving you a small headstart, so it will be partially complete:
  • Timing Master: Offense
    "Time 50 attacks perfectly"
  • Timing Master: Defense
    Block 50 attacks perfectly"
  • Thieving Magpie
    "Steal loot from 20 enemies"
The further along you are in the game the more this will be already completed. For the first two, each chapter gives you 5 timings. Eg. If you are at the end of the game already (chapter 7), this value will start at 35, and you will need to to 15 more timings for each of those achievements. Thieving Magpie will give you a headstart of 5-12 depending where you are in the game.

Version 1.2e: Bugfixes

* You were able to reach level 33, but the max level is 32.
This is also reflected in the main menu now. Thanks @Schotti
* Battle: First battle action would sometimes flash, this is a potential fix
* Battle: Fix unstable item order
* Battle: Fix some abilities showing up that shouldn't (Charge SRD, Infest)
* Fix some issues with doors in the Facility, where Ryiu would move off the map
* Typos
