Lightforge Medal Transfer – Event Guide

Dear Metas,

Before the launch of Once Human, we held a series of beta testing. Many of you took part in these tests and gave us invaluable feedback. Your suggestions have helped Once Human become a game loved by players all over the globe. Thank you so much! We couldn't have done it without you.
Some of you who participated in the beta test will have received Lightforge Medals as a reward for your time and effort. These Lightforge Medals can be used in the official release, and you will receive them once you log in to Once Human using the same account as you used in the beta. You can then redeem exclusive beta test cosmetics by going to Deadsville and speaking to Weber.
* If you're unsure of how to use Lightforge Medals, refer to the item description, which contains relevant information and instructions.
We are aware that players could only log in with the Loading Bay launcher during the beta test. Steam and the Epic Games Launcher were not able to support a prolonged beta test with a high frequency of updates. Thus, we could only use our publisher's platform for the test period. We are also aware that many players who prefer Steam or the Epic Games Launcher wanted to play on these platforms for the official release, but found that they were unable to claim their Lightforge Medals as a result. After receiving your feedback, we carefully examined the issue, and have decided to allow players to transfer their Lightforge Medals for a limited time with the new update on July 18. The steps and conditions are as follows:

1. You must download the Loading Bay launcher and log into Once Human with the account you received your Lightforge Medals on. Then, create a new character on the regional server you want to play on (e.g. Europe, North America, South America, etc.) and enter the game. If you previously owned Lightforge Medals, you will receive an in-game mail message with them attached.
To download Loading Bay, visit https://www.oncehuman.game/, click PLAY FREE NOW, and then select WINDOWS.
Note: Do not install the launcher to the same file path as Steam or the Epic Games Launcher.
2. Press F3 to enter the Event screen, then open the Event tab, where you will see the Lightforge Medal Transfer event. Enter the UID of the character you want to transfer your Lightforge Medals to. The UID is a string of numbers displayed at the bottom left corner of the screen when you play Once Human on Steam or the Epic Games Launcher. Double-check the character's details, and you're ready to proceed with the transfer. Once the transfer is complete, all Lightforge Medals and items previously redeemed with Lightforge Medals will be deducted from your Loading Bay character, and transferred to the character whose UID you entered.
3. To ensure fairness, we have implemented some restrictions to the transfer of Lightforge Medals. Lightforge Medals are our way of saying thanks to players who took part in the beta test, and we do not want them to unduly impact balance or player experience. The restrictions are as follows:
1) Each account can only receive one transfer of Lightforge Medals. The same account cannot receive multiple transfers, even if it has multiple characters.
2) Accounts that already own Lightforge Medals cannot receive a transfer of Lightforge Medals. This is to prevent multiple accounts from transferring their Lightforge Medals to the same receiving account.

We understand that the steps and rules concerning the transfer of Lightforge Medals may seem complicated. The following are some questions that you might have, and we hope the answers help to clear up any doubts.

Q1: Why do I have to download Loading Bay and use it to install the game to get my Lightforge Medals?
Your convenience is very important to us. If possible, we would have liked to make it easier for you to transfer Lightforge Medals to your preferred platform. However, we are also in full compliance with local laws and regulations regarding user privacy and the collection of private information. The transfer of beta test rewards to your official release is dependent on an identifier associated with your beta account. This identifier is provided by the login platform and is unique and encrypted. Therefore, when you log in with Steam or the Epic Games Launcher, we are unable to match these accounts with the account you used during the beta test.
This is why we have adopted the method described above. You will need to log in to the same account you used during the beta test and claim your rewards there, then manually enter the UID of the character you want to transfer your Lightforge Medals to. The UID is a unique plaintext string used to identify your character and is completely secure to use. Thank you for your understanding, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Q2: Why are there so many restrictions to the transfer of Lightforge Medals? Are you trying to make things hard on us?
Of course not! Lightforge Medals are our reward to players who took part in the beta test, and we have no intention of utilizing them to gouge any of you. However, we also want to make sure that there is no potential for abuse or unfairness. During the beta test, each account could only receive one set of Lightforge Medals, with the quantity based on the highest amount owned by an individual character on the account. In addition, only one character on the account could claim this set of Lightforge Medals. We wanted to allow players to transfer their Lightforge Medals while keeping things fair for all our beta testers. Thus, we implemented the following restrictions:
1) Lightforge Medals must be transferred all at once, and cannot be transferred in part. Once the transfer is complete, all Lightforge Medals and items previously redeemed with Lightforge Medals will be deducted from the original account. Once you decide to transfer, the original account cannot keep any portion of Lightforge Medals, even in the form of redeemed items.
2) Each account can only receive one transfer of Lightforge Medals and cannot previously have owned any Lightforge Medals. This is to ensure that each account only receives a single set of Lightforge Medals, as per the beta test.

Thank you for making it to the end of this guide! If you're still unsure about the event or its rules, just drop us a question on the Feedback Desk channel on our official Discord server, and we'll assist you as soon as we can.

Once Human is basically a Control MMO, which would have been pretty cool if it wasn't an awful survival game

For my sins, I recently downloaded Once Human. It's a busy game at the moment—I had to see what the fuss was about. I always know I'll end up a bit disappointed whenever I embark on the Sisyphean endeavour of playing a crafty, base-building survival game, but sometimes the premise is enough to make me buy a ticket for the ride...
