Fair Play Announcement (February 10th, 2025 – March 2nd, 2025)

Dear Metas,
To combat cheating and the malicious exploitation of bugs, we have implemented the following measures:
1. We will monitor the game for unusual behavior 24/7 and respond promptly to player reports.
2. Players confirmed to be using cheats will face severe penalties, including long-term account bans.
3. We place a high priority on fixing bugs and enhancing game security. Malicious exploitation of bugs will not be tolerated. After fixing a bug, we will retroactively penalize players who exploited it and reclaim any illicit gains.

Below is a list of players recently penalized for severe violations. The accounts involved have been reviewed and confirmed to be in violation.
1. Language violations
From February 10th to March 2nd, a total of 863 players received bans of varying durations for language violations:
30 days — 21 players
7 days — 78 players
1 day — 518 players
2 hours — 251 players
(Due to space limitations, we do not provide the list of players banned for speech violations.)

2. Use of cheats or hacks
We will identify the characteristics of newly discovered cheats and use them for retroactive investigations. After banning an account, we will check if it has any associated alt accounts and ban those as well.
The following is the list of players penalized for using cheats or hacks from February 10th to March 2nd:

3. Malicious exploitation of game mechanics (e.g. obstruction with vehicles, malicious behavior, obstruction with buildings)
Using loopholes in the game mechanics to break the rules or damage the game experience is not permitted. If you come across such behavior, please report it via the in-game reporting system or to customer service.
If you encounter players who maliciously use temperature-changing items to kill other players, please report them via the in-game reporting system for verification. For minor offenses, the offending player will first receive a warning mail, then a 1-day or 3-day ban for repeated offenses. For major offenses, the offending player will face a 7-day, 30-day, or permanent ban. Please use the reporting system to help us maintain a fair and pleasant gaming environment.

Once Human Version 1.4.3 Update Additional Announcement

Dear Metas,
To improve your gaming experience, the 1.4.3 update also includes the following content:
Territory Electricity System Update
1. Added a "Electricity Management" screen for the Generator, allowing Metas to conveniently check the Electricity status of their Territory;
2. In response to player feedback about the complexity of connecting Generators and the ambiguity of power consumption calculations, we have overhauled the electricity system to make power management more intuitive.
Optimizations
1.Visualized Power Consumption Data: In Construction mode, you can view the total and current power consumption in real time. You can also monitor the power usage distribution on the Generator screen.
2.Automatic Power Connections: Generators in your territory will automatically connect and form an electrical network by default, eliminating the need to manually lay cables.
Adjustment of Water and Production Management Optimization Launch Time
During the acceptance testing phase, we found that some features still did not meet expectations. To provide Metas with a better gaming experience, we have decided to postpone the launch of following optimizations from March 27th to April 24th:
Optimizations

Smart Output Management
The Water Pump and Rainwater Collection System will allow you to select their outputs. Available outputs are dependent on the resources of the current region.
The Water Filter and Brewing Barrel will also allow you to choose their outputs, making it easier for you to manage your territory's production line.
Automated Liquid Transport
Impure Acid and Barreled Crude Oil can be transported using water pipes.
Some redundant connections will also be removed.
Offline Output
Offline output will be automatically calculated based on your offline time, resolving the issue of production stagnating while offline.

We've been closely monitoring feedback from the community and working on fixes and optimizations. If you have more questions or suggestions, feel free to contact us!

Controller Changes Controversy and Preview Q&A | Planners' Urgent Response

Dear Meta,
Following the release of the March update preview, we received many questions and suggestions from players regarding the upcoming changes. We have identified your main concerns and will address them individually in this article.
Please note that the optimizations outlined here are still in the development phase. The finalized rules and details will be included in the official update announcement. To maintain transparency, we will release a detailed overview of all changes before the update. Thank you for supporting Once Human. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve the game!

Q: Is it true that Controllers will be removed from the game? What is the actual plan regarding this?
A:Yes, we plan to remove Controllers after the update on March 27 (UTC).

Controllers were originally designed to prevent dungeons from yielding unlimited mods and other stat-boosting items, as this would force players to farm dungeons excessively, leading to grind. However, as playtime increased, players ended up having to farm both Controllers and mods, defeating our initial purpose. Hence, we are overhauling mods and other stat-related systems to make them more accessible and less time-consuming. These changes will be implemented as soon as possible.
With the introduction of cross-character sharing in this update, we have decided to phase out Controllers to ensure players aren't pressured to play multiple characters to obtain more mods. Due to this change, we will also provide compensation and make the following adjustments:

1. Since every player uses Controllers differently, allowing the exchange of remaining Controllers for high-value Mod Crates would be unfair. Therefore, we have set the following rules: Each account will receive a one-time gift of compensation tokens, determined by the most season settlements completed by a single character on that account. These compensation tokens can then be used to redeem Mod Crates and other in-game items.
* The actual compensation ratio and redeemable content will be detailed in the official update announcement.
2. Controllers will become obsolete after the update on March 27 (UTC). You can redeem your leftover Controllers at the Camp Shop for Mod Crates, Deviation merging items, or mod parts.
Mod Crates are available in three rarities, with exchange ratios of 1:1, 3:1, and 10:1. There are a total of 60 crates per rarity, with a weekly limit of 10 crates of each rarity per account. The highest-rarity Mod Crate is slightly less valuable than the Mod Crate found in Pro dungeons.
3. Controllers can still be converted into Mod Crates using the Wish Box Deviation.

Q: When character resources are merged for sharing, players with multiple characters stand to receive much more compensation than those with only one character. For example, it is far easier for a player to have nine characters at Collection Lv. 30 (totaling Lv. 270) than a single character at Collection Lv. 270. However, the same compensation of 40,000 Starchrom is received in both cases. What is the reasoning behind this?
A: Players have different gaming habits and spend varying amounts of time on each of their characters. We value your effort, which is why we've introduced cross-character sharing. This feature is designed to reduce repetitive grinding, allowing you to explore new scenarios or play with friends using new characters.

The effort you invest in the game is invaluable and impossible to quantify, and we recognize that no compensation method will satisfy every player. By offering compensation based on Blueprint Collection level along with one-off additional rewards, we aim to ensure that all characters will be in a stronger position after cross-character sharing than before. This approach also allows you to play your main or side characters with fewer restrictions moving forward.
We will also make the following adjustments:
1. The blueprint conversion limit will be increased to 15, with players receiving 6 attempts per week. Additionally, after the update, all players will receive 10 conversion attempts, giving you more opportunities to experiment with multiple blueprint builds.
2. Accounts with two or more characters at Collection Lv. 90 or above will receive a gift via in-game mail within three working days after the March 27 update. The gift is a token of our gratitude for your efforts and will not include any stat-related items.
We understand your concerns. These changes are meant to make the game more accessible and welcoming to new players. Please continue to share your feedback with us via social media or the Co-Dev Feedback Platform.

Q: Will cross-character sharing be restricted on novice servers? Will Wish Machines also be shared across characters?
A: We will not restrict cross-character sharing on novice servers for the following reasons:
1. Currently, all novice servers run PvE scenarios, so power differences will have minimal impact on player experience.
2. We do not wish to add any additional rules. Clear and simple rules are more beneficial to the player experience.
To encourage veteran players to team up with newcomers, we'll introduce events where old and new players can earn rewards by playing together, creating opportunities to share fun, knowledge, and experiences!

Since Starchrom and blueprints are eligible for cross-character sharing, Wish Machine data will also be synchronized under the following rules:
i. After the March 27 update, all prize pools will be synchronized across characters on the same account. Any blueprints and blueprint fragments obtained will also be shared across characters.
ii. 'The Long-Awaited' and 'Echoes from the Rift' prize pools will inherit the progress of the character with the highest Blueprint Collection level and be synchronized across all characters.
iii. The time-limited prize pool launching on March 13 will end after the March 27 update and will not be affected by cross-character sharing.
iv. Blueprint Shop purchase records will also be based on the character with the highest Blueprint Collection level. Only one purchase from the Blueprint Shop can be made per account.

Q: What content updates will non-shutdown servers receive? I'm worried they will eventually become ghost servers.
A: New content not tied to the opening of new servers will be applied to non-shutdown servers, including:
i. Construction optimizations, including new building materials and components.
ii. Changes, optimizations, and additions to the ranching and farming systems.
iii. Weapon balance adjustments.
iv. New cosmetics and events.
v. Bug fixes and optimizations.
Servers with the Visional Wheel tag will also receive Visional Wheel gameplay updates. Future announcements will always specify whether new content will apply to non-shutdown servers.
To address server population concerns, we will merge non-shutdown servers of the same scenario into a single server, with each original server becoming a distinct World. In the future, we will also merge Worlds as necessary to maintain healthy player populations and a vibrant social experience.

Q. Will Worlds be merged on non-shutdown servers? If so, will it lead to territory issues?
A: Servers will not undergo World merging for 30 days after non-shutdown processing. After this period, Worlds may be merged depending on their player populations.
The rules for World merging are the same as those for standard servers. Territories with overlapping locations will be recalled, and the affected players will receive compensation. Before World merging begins, an announcement will be made on the Scenario Progress screen, allowing you to switch Worlds in advance and avoid territory conflicts.
The purpose of World merging is to maintain a healthy number of players in each World, ensuring an optimal multiplayer experience. We sincerely apologize to players whose territories are recalled and appreciate your understanding and support.

Q: In the new PvE scenario, Endless Dream, players can use Construction mode outside their territories. Wouldn't this result in problematic behavior like land grabbing? What is the reasoning behind this?
A: In the Endless Dream scenario, limited construction will be allowed in "dreamscapes"—areas in the wilderness under Nightmare's influence. This feature is designed to provide greater freedom and encourage creativity during exploration and combat in these unique zones.
The types and quantities of structures that can be built in each dreamscape will be restricted. Furthermore, other players can dismantle these structures.
More details and new game features will be shared in upcoming previews. Stay tuned!

The guiding principle behind changes such as cross-character sharing, non-shutdown servers, and the discontinuation of Controllers is to allow every player to enjoy the game as they prefer without constraints.
We understand that no change will satisfy everyone, but it is only by directly addressing these issues that we can continue to grow with your support. If you have any questions about the updated content, let us know via Customer Support or the Co-Dev Feedback Platform. We deeply value your feedback.
This is not the end, but the start of a new journey.

Once Human Version 1.4.3 Update Announcement

Dear Metas,

We're planning a server maintenance and update on March 12 at 4:00 PM(PST). The maintenance is expected to last about 2 hours, but the actual duration may differ. Please plan your game time accordingly for the best experience.
This update introduces non-shutdown servers, Wish Machine grand prize selection, the new Spectral Hunt event, the new Lightforge Loot Crate: Youthful Glory, adjustments to the Journey system, and various optimizations and bug fixes.
Since launch, we've been closely monitoring feedback from the community and working on fixes and optimizations.
Below are the details of this update.
New Content

Non-Shutdown Servers
To allow you to experience scenarios at your own pace, we will introduce non-shutdown servers on March 12 (PST).
Features
1. After the March 12 (PST) update, open servers will be converted into non-shutdown servers after their settlement phases. The conversion process takes approximately 2 hours, during which the server cannot be accessed.
2. Active character data will be retained after the conversion to a non-shutdown server. Players can continue using their characters on the non-shutdown server, exit to Eternaland, or sign up for a new scenario.
3. Note that inactive characters will not be retained on the non-shutdown server but will be sent to Eternaland. Currently, this applies to characters that have been inactive for at least 30 days. However, we plan to significantly ease this restriction in the next quarter to accommodate returning players.
For more details, visit https://www.oncehuman.game/news/update/20250304/40780_1215949.html
Wish Machine Grand Prize Selection
After the March 12 (PST) update, grand prize selection will be enabled for the Echoes from the Rift prize pool at the Wish Machine.
How: Go to the Echoes from the Rift prize pool, and select Wishlist. You can then spend Wishstones to select a weapon blueprint. The next Legendary blueprint you draw will be guaranteed to match your chosen blueprint.
Once you draw your chosen blueprint, the Echoes from the Rift prize pool will be reset.
You can redeem Wishstones using Mitsuko's Marks at the Challenge Shop, or acquire them through events.
New Limited-Time Wish Machine Prize Pools
After the update on March 12 21:30 (PST), the following new Wish Machine prize pools will be available for 2 weeks.
Searing Burn: Includes the Legendary weapon blueprint 'Pyroclasm Starter'.
Doom Hunter: Includes the Legendary weapon blueprint 'Doombringer'.
Rune Burn: Includes the Legendary gear blueprints 'Fire Rune Boots', 'Blackstone Hood', 'Blackstone Jacket', and 'Blackstone Shoes'.
New Scenario: Harvesters' Market
To make trading more convenient, we are introducing Harvesters' Markets to the Manibus, Evolution's Call, and The Way of Winter scenarios. Additionally, the new Solar Power Vending Machine formula will be added to the Vending Machine Memetic. Solar Power Vending Machines can only be built in designated areas of the Harvesters' Market, with each player limited to one.
Vending Machines now also have the refrigeration function of Fridges, so they can keep food fresh for longer periods.
Stardust Chronicle
Players can navigate to Menu > Stardust Chronicle to view all game modes available in the current scenario, along with their descriptions. Map navigation is also available for certain game modes, making it easier for players to locate and access them quickly.
New Event

Spectral Hunt
Spectral Hunt, an event exclusive to Visional Wheel S0: Lunar Oracle, is on its way!
Event Period: March 12 (after update) – May 7
During Lunar Oracles, Morphic Deviants that resemble players will appear in settlements across the wilderness. These Deviants, known as Lunarspawn, will assume the appearance and absorb the abilities of any player they kill.
Lunarspawn grow stronger with each player they kill. Players must work together to hunt Lunarspawn and fill the progress bar, unlocking Lunar Whispers, themed cosmetics like namecards and eyewear, and many other rewards!
For more details, visit https://www.oncehuman.game/news/update/20250306/40780_1216892.html
Events
Added a batch redemption feature to the 'Astral Dewlets' long-term event. Players can now redeem supplies in bulk.
Journey System
During this maintenance, we will optimize the Journey system by merging the location of Scenario Challenges and Commissions and simplifying the Scenario Challenge hierarchy. This is designed to help new players adapt more quickly to exploration, combat, and construction.

2. Optimized the performance when talking to Mitsuko in Victor Hammett's hut.
