Scrolls are getting an update! New scrolls types, new scroll slots, and easier scroll searching in the shop! Check out all of these details, and more below!

New Scroll Types - Faction and Sub-Alignment
• There are now 2 new scroll types: Faction and Sub-Alignment. These scrolls can be equipped to increase the chance you will be a role in a Faction (Town, Coven, Neutral) or a Sub-Alignment (such as Town Investigative).

New Feature - More Scroll Slots
• Added new unlockable Scroll Slots, 2 Blessed Scroll Slots, and 2 Cursed Scroll Slots. These will allow you equip 5 of each scroll at once. They can be found in the Shop under the Scrolls tab, as well as the Account Items tab.

New Bundle - Scroll Slots Bundle
• The Scroll Slots Bundle can be found under the new Bundles tab.
• This Bundle has the 4 new unlockable Scroll Slots, as well as 6 of each Blessed Scroll, and 6 of each Cursed Scroll. It is a really nice Bundle!

New Pet
• Added a new pet - Spike the Poison Frog.

Improvements
• Added Name Change item to the Shop.
• Added search functionality to Scrolls tab in the Shop.
• Improved server performance on user login.
• Improved Ranked queue match making.
• Added information about Scrolls to the Game Guide.
• Added a new tab to the Shop for Bundles.
• Added new icons for the Random Role buckets and the Sub-Alignments.

Bug Fixes
• Various crash fixes.

We are doing a quick patch to make some improvements to the Town Elder system based on the feedback we saw. Thank you all for trying it out and letting us know how you felt!

New Player Classic Mode Changes
• Town Elder messages are no longer anonymous.
• Elder Tells now warn the player using them that trolling or metagaming using Elder Tells will result in a suspension.
• New Player Classic Mode is now active for the first 10 games played instead of 5.
• Games played to become a Town Elder has been increased to 50. Additionally, players will have to re-apply to remain Town Elders.

Our patch today introduces the Town Elder system where experienced players can be rewarded for helping new players learn!

New System: Town Elders
• New Players (who have played less than 5 games) will be placed in a special version of the Classic Lobby.
• Experienced players have an option to Earn Bonus Town Points and guide new players as a Town Elder.
• Town elders have a lobby icon (star) by their name and the ability to send Elder Whispers to players (even while dead) to help guide them during the game.
• This new version of Classic will help new players learn the basics of the game, while being guided by their Town Elders.

Improvements
• Increased curse scroll max quantity to 299.
• When using Anonymous Mode, your Map selection will now respect your map selection.
• Added Necromancer Silhouette.
• Added Jinx Silhouette.

Added 5 new keywords
• Blood and No Blood referencing the Investigator's investigate ability.
• Vote For Alignment to help explain this common strategy to players.
• Town Elder to help explain the new Town Elder system in a digestible way.
• Claim to explain what a claim is, and how roles like Ritualist and Doomsayer can punish players if they claim their exact role.

Bug Fixes
• Fixed a crash that sometimes caused the Hangman Cinematic to freeze. (Hotfixed 10/10/23)
• Kill records for stoned/hidden players no longer send down their faction (this was hidden but could be viewed through outside of the game shenanigans).
• Fixed spelling of Pestilence spelled for Refer-A-Friend popup.
• Fixed spelling issue in the No Role Reveal description.
• Fixed spelling of the Steam achievement for winning 5 games with Sheriff.
• We now prevent ranked queue from stacking up.

Patch R.1.1.37 - 10/10/2023

Improvements
• Ranked placement completion will now also show your current Elo.
• Ranked games now shuffle players when the game start to better randomize their positions.
• Removed ELO loss penalty entirely for disconnecting (in all cases) if the player reconnects before the game wraps up.
• Improved positioning of Hangman for both Cursed Gallows and Splat.
• Improved localization for Russian, Chinese, and Spanish.
• Reworded the Return to Home confirmation popup.

Bug Fixes
• Fixed Werewolf Kill cinematic getting stuck in a weird state
• Fix: You will no longer get a randomized name and skin if you reconnect with Streamer Mode enabled.
• Fix: You should no longer occasionally see duplicate characters during Pick Names while in ranked.
