PATCH version 0.6.1 is now live!

PATCH 0.6.1

A small fix and quality of life change. There is definitely a lot more in the works. I would however like to reach out to the players to help prioritize which content I'm working on. I'd love to hear from you to see what you think I should focus on for the next patch. To make it more interesting I'll just propose one simple question.

If you could only add one thing to the game, what would you add?

FIXES / CHANGES:
- Fixed an issue with parts system not correctly applying all stats when retrying.
- Pause menu now shows the parts you are currently using. Now if choosing random you know which parts / stats you have.

PATCH version 0.6 is now live!

Took longer than expected, but here it is v0.6. Introducing the new parts system. There is now a parts menu before the start (after choosing your gun) where you can choose your brain, body, and base. Reload button has changed to INTERACT / RELOAD. So by default the reload button is now "E" or X on controller. Left trigger / right mouse button is now the button to use abilities. Several abilities were added including a dash, weapon throw, spawning pawns, and more. There is still a lot of ideas I have for improving the game (upgrades, enemies, guns, etc). I plan to continue to update the game and just try to make it the best game I can make. Thank you for your patience and support! Hopefully you enjoy the new parts system and I'd love to hear any feedback you have.

CONTENT:
New parts menu after choosing your gun and exiting the gun room. Here you can choose from three different parts, brain, body, and base. All have different attributes and will hopefully open up possibilities for even more builds to experiment with.

BALANCE:
- QUIET MOVE: Chance to heal has been reduced from 2% to 1% when picking up XP.
- BACKWARD PAWN: Increased the the base damage given from 10 to 15.
- GAMBIT: Reduced the damage and rate of fire from 50% to 40%.
- BREAKTHROUGH: Reduced the rate of fire and reload speed from 10% to 6%.
- Poison damage increased from 2 to 12.
- Burn damage increased from 4 to 14.
- Base damage for Burst Carbine reduced by 2.
- Base damage for SMG increased by 1.

FIXES / CHANGES:
- Fixed an issue causing the game to crash when using proximity mines and there wasn't any enemies.
- Fixed an issue when selecting the upgrade BACKWARD PAWN not applying the base damage to the pawn summon.
- Critical hits are now shown in yellow and regular hits are in white (if the damage numbers are turned on).
- Changed all weapons to automatic (no more click...click..click). I've seen numerous requests for this and while this was part of an upgrade. I think that upgrade was good enough on it's own with just the +50% magazine size.

HOTFIX version 0.5.9.1 is now live!

PATCH 0.5.9.1

BALANCE:
Balancing changes to the pawn with red outline:
-Has a far less chance of spawning (roughly 10%)
-bullet shoots in random direction towards the player
-bullet is also a bit slower.

FIXES:
Fixed an issue causing a crash related to the gambit upgrade using flame turret and proximity mines.

Patch version 0.5.9 is now live!

PATCH 0.5.9

NEW CONTENT:
Added a new pawn enemy type (red outline). When killed they spawn a projectile.

FIXES:
Fixed an issue causing a crash from explosions comparing unset values.
Fixed blackhole upgrade not spawning correctly. It now spawns where the hits occur.

I am currently working on a larger content patch, but I like to get any crash related fixes out ASAP.

More content is coming, but it will take some time. Unfortunately I am only able to work on this part-time. I have a full-time job that supports the family and pays the bills. I just want to provide some context for anyone who wasn't aware or possibly wondering why things may be progressing slower then other games. Thank you to everyone for feedback and support.

Patch version 0.5.8 is now live!

PATCH 0.5.8

NEW CONTENT:
Added a new weapon, proximity mines.

BALANCE:
Adjusted prices for unlocking weapons (previously 250, now 350).
Made XP pickup larger for more visual clarity and added a larger XP pickup. Larger XP is dropped by bosses and it should help reduce some clutter from the screen by not having so many pieces on the map.

FIXES:
Fixed a bug causing a crash if you selected projectile speed upgrade while using the lightning gun or laser gun.
Fixed the enemy king not shooting bullets when firing.
Fixed an issue that was causing more XP to drop then intended, but hopefully it doesn't effect balance of leveling up to much. Will revisit this if it ends up being an issue.
Fixed issue causing version number to move around when changing menus.
