Level editor, Steam™ Workshop® support, localization and more!

[p]Sorry for the huge delay, it took a while to get all of this update ready! Since we last spoke: [/p]
  • [p]Localization for 12 languages has been added! By human translators, but if you see any anomalies, please send a bug report.[/p]
  • [p]Level editor with integrated Steam™ Workshop® uploader is now live! There's an out-of-date PDF you can use to get started with, but I'll be making a new one soon with the new technique. Thanks to the testers who helped enormously with finding those hard to reach bugs, it's now as close to gold as I can make it for the time being... again, please report any bugs you come across![/p]
  • [p]All-new campaign by JJJJ included! You can import it from the new bonus_campaigns folder included in the game install location, or you can play it from Steam by subscribing to it from the workshop![/p]

  • [p](level editor) can't test/export level if Bryce or Doubler start on hazards or exit[/p]
  • [p](level editor) can't test/export level if immovables or enemies start on hazards, walkways or exit[/p]

  • [p](level editor) various enemies visual offset correct in editor[/p]
  • [p](level editor) doors/pushpads now require matching amount (1 pushpad = 1 door, 1 double pushpad = 2 doors, etc)[/p]
  • [p](level exporter) shows which level an error occured[/p]
  • [p]backgrounds bigger coverage for large maps (tried to get infinite backgrounds to work but couldn't)[/p]
  • [p]some plus+ block tiles removed that incorrectly covered ground[/p]
  • [p]some plus+ block tiles added to plug up unintentional oobs[/p]
  • [p]moveables on coals now have particles[/p]
  • [p]localization added for 12 languages[/p]
  • [p]settings page redone for localization, easier navigation and maginally cleaner aesthetic[/p]
  • [p]level editor UI redone for localization[/p]
  • [p]btlevextractor added to game folder[/p]
  • [p]improved functionality of Steam Workshop uploader[/p]
  • [p]fixed import level bug if consecutive workshop btpaks loaded[/p]
  • [p]screenshot option added to level editor test menu[/p]
  • [p]back to level select added to escape menu[/p]
  • [p]gamepad mouse now works in level editor (not preferable, though)[/p]
  • [p]added clear trophies to bthackr[/p]
  • [p]new official campaign in bonus_campaigns folder[/p]

Bryce Tiles 1.0.16 Patch

Sorry it's been a while since the last update, I've been trying to get the word out on the streets about Bryce Tiles' existence! If you've bought the game and not left a review yet, please throw a couple of words down, I'd really appreciate it! Until then, keep having fun playing the campaigns, discovering the secrets of Bryce Tiles and making your own levels!

Hopefully the level editor will be ready for full release soon, JJJJ has currently got it in full dogfooding testing mode and is working on a Workshop Exclusive™ campaign... stay tuned for more on that! If you want to test the level editor and workshop integration, simply run the game with -leveleditor launch option.

Bryce Tiles 1.0.15 Patch

A big fix for level editor lockboxes, minor fix of the lasers in level editor and music playing after test mode. I've enabled workshop visibility so now you can subscribe to other campaigns. I'm not sure why the campaign loader brings in all of the submitted campaigns currently, but it's actually kinda cool cause you can play everything on workshop straight from Bryce Tiles.

  • (level editor) lockboxes actually linkable to doors and pairing UI shows now
  • (level editor) fixed lasers rendering over empty tiles
  • (level editor) fixed emitter sometimes facing wrong way on test-mode

Sorry it's not a more interesting update, still working on getting the level editor perfect so please keep testing!

Bryce Tiles 1.0.14 Patch

A few little fixes! If you're an escape key spammer, please test it out in weird places now and see if it breaks! The awful hack I put in for SteamDeck should only work on SteamOS now, but I'll try and make it less hacky in future (newer Godot has a fix for the SteamDeck double input bug, but I'm still on an ancient version that requires crude workarounds).

I really want to release the full level editor and workshop support in the next week or so, let me know if there's ANY bugs at all with it, otherwise I'll prepare a trailer and get it released properly!

  • (level editor) actually fixed broken build level positions (due to stupidly childing everything to the dialog box node, too late now though, all we can do is hacky-fix)
  • (level editor) added error message if level can't save (into a protected folder, for instance)

Maybe more fixes later if anything shows up! There might be a rogue bug where dying in test mode can cause a crash, let me know if it happens!
