What's next?

[p]It's been a while! Some of you have even reportedly seen the end of the game. Which feels like an insane thing for me as a one of two devs, to have created something so worthy of your time. Because we know, what we created is a big undertaking just to play. It's been proven best for introspective solo plays, totally against the grain of what tends to become popular. But we digress.
First, Dynasthir is going to be at Steams Medieval fest for 2026. Beginning in April 20. So we are putting together a tighter demo for this event. Something more suited for people to get a small quick glimpse of the game.
We hope that following this event, we'll have a patch that addresses all of the remaining known bugs. Since as of last patch we have covered all of our most requested features as well as our biggest hurdles.
And then we can look towards the latter half of the year; planning some content updates bridging the vision in our heads with what's currently playable. Support for the game will run all throughout 2026 at least.
While the next project has not been fully decided upon yet. There are 2-3 different ideas currently, all of them smaller yet still ambitious. And while these thoughts take form, Mireneye has already started looking at what tech stack to use.
Overall Dynasthir did not make enough that we can sustain an actual studio on it. Ultimately it wasn't made with that as a goal even if it would have been nice if it did. But this also means, the next project in the pipeline needs to be one where we can do it.
It's certain that the next project will be scoped in a way; that it can be prototyped quickly & put into demo form within a year. And within the next year of development there will be a game ready for people to buy. What follows is not decided yet. We no doubt love the premium model and we have tried to stay away from Early Access. But perhaps we just need to look at the loved developers who do Early Access well; and accept that it's one of the valid and sustainable paths for a small developer. Time will tell.
Ohh, and if things go according to plan. There will be a new trailer for Dynasthir in April too. A bit of a passion project as well since it combines three things we love. I'll let you figure out which when it releases. The title of the trailer is "A dying worlD".
