We gave it everything. And we have every intention to keep giving.

We know choices we have made along the way will resonate with a specific type of crowd. This is an open invitation for you to find out if you are one of them!

Our plan is now to polish things up as we head into Next Fest with this demo.

Note that we are doing simultaneous work on both the demo and the rest of the game.
Of course we will try to prioritize anything of importance that pops up. Just know that our focus is two fold.

It shows off a lot of the love that has gone into the world and it's design. Endless paper notes and work on symbols and meanings.

We try to put meaning in everything we do as we work our way through thousands of assets. With a project of this scope we have taken every bit of help along the way we could. And for every time we have been tempted to cut corners we've then been inspired to turn the corner into a full roundabout.

I can tell you now, how happy we are to be here finally that we can talk to you now more openly about the world we've been cooking.

Dynasthir to us is more than a game. The amount of short stories written. The endless notes and sketches. The mechanics of the world that exist mostly in the form of a rough outline for it's ancient pen & paper roleplaying game roots. It's become part of our lives in a way hard to describe.

As the world around us was dying in 2019. We were already asking the question.. Will we persist?
And damn it, it seems like through every hardship. Here we are.

It's time to start the journey! The first chapter of Dynasthir beckons.

Home stretch

We are currently working on what will be the last version of our demo. The one that will eventually be open for the public. No more closed doors working away in the shadows; exposed for all to see.

But it is and has not been our only focus. Concurrently we have been working on the upcoming chapters of the game. It's coming along well, more on that soon!

We have also been looking more into Steam Deck. It's a tough nut. According to the internet it's only 400% less powerful than our PC Hardware Target ːsteamthumbsupː[/p][p]
But maybe, just maybe we can get it running at locked 30. In our testing it will be a real challenge. And I can tell immediately it will be something we will have to work towards after the initial PC release.

The game has never felt better, now it is just a matter of getting it in your hands, so you can feel for yourself.

I'm as always concerned that it doesn't look good enough or doesn't perform well enough. It's something I will always be working towards. It's true until the game is release & it will be true for a long time after.

Your patience has paid off; big news soon!

Dynasthir is changing!



This is the last update in our traditional style! From here on out we are making a sokoban dating sim with plenty of danmaku. Consider this your last look at Dynasthir as it was before this sudden and unexpected decision. Even internally we are super surprised by this, but that's just how it is.

And of course this means there will be a OG Gameboy version. Do not for a moment think we are forgetting all you hardcore RPG Gameboy fans out there. Big N's got our back on this, I'm sure!
