[p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][h3]What is the Level Creation Update?[/h3][p]The Level Creation Update adds tons of new features and content like the Level Editor 2.0 mode which allows you to create, save and share your creations.[/p][p][/p][p]The update also adds a redesigned main menu, french user interface support, Race the Lava Level 11 and more![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][h2]Kaz's Adventure 2: Lost Souls | Future Plans[/h2][p]Next up for Kaz's Adventure 2: Lost Souls is a small content update in Q4 2025 which will add Race the Lava Levels 12, more Level Editor Save Slots, New Level Elements, Level Save Previews and more![/p][p][/p][p]The next Major Update will be called the "Frozen Kingdom" update, the time has come for Kaz's Story to conclude as it adds DLC 2's release content which has Kaz travel around the Frozen Kingdom and battle with the Ice King in one final adventure.[/p][p][/p][p]The next major update will of course bring some new cosmetics and the final Race the Lava level, it will also see the return of a classic enemy with a new modern design which will appear in both DLC 2 and tons of new content.[/p][p][/p][p]The small content updates is planned for Q4 2025 and the Frozen Kingdom update is planned for Q1 2026.[/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][h2]Check out the Kaz's Adventure 2: Lost Souls Roadmap![/h2][p][/p][p]Trello Board[/p][p][/p][hr][/hr]

[p][/p][h2]"Create Your Own Adventure"[/h2][p][/p][h3]Releases 11th July 2025[/h3][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][h3]Tons of Level Elements[/h3][p]When the Level Editor 2.0 mode releases there will be around 2.5 pages full of tiles with more being added in future updates, with the tiles provided you can create your own levels with enemies, lava, classic art style, new art style and more.[/p][p][/p][p]There are 58 Level Elements included with the modes releases mainly comprising of Kaz's Adventure 2 and DLC elements but we hope in the future to bring more elements into the mode from classic to modern styles.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][Page 3 is a early beta screenshot and is missing one element, Temple Boulder][/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][h3]Blast from the Past[/h3][p]You may have noticed that Page 3 includes classic tiles, in Level Editor 2.0 you can merge both old and new to create a new adventure of your own, you can have a classic location and new tiles or a new location and classic tiles, the choice is up to you, more classic tiles and locations may be added in future updates.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][h3]Change the Levels Location[/h3][p]When the mode releases there will be 15 locations for you to create your new levels in from the base game, DLC's and previous game entries like Kaz's Adventure (2022), it is up to you where your next adventure takes place.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][h3]Save and Load up to 8 Levels[/h3][p]Once you have fully designed your level you can save your creation to one of the 8 level slots which can be loaded at anytime, you can even continue designing your level at a later date.[/p][p][/p][p]More save slots will be added in future updates.[/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][h3]Share your Adventures Online[/h3][p]Levels will be saved within the "Custom Levels" folder in the root of the game files, these files can then be shared online where others can download and store them in one of the 8 save slots provided.[/p][p][/p][p]Each level file is tied to a save slot, numbered Slot 1 through Slot 8. When downloading a level, you can rename the file to any available slot. For example, if the level was originally saved to Slot 5 but you already have something saved there, just rename it to Slot 8 (or another free slot). [h2]Changes to Names for Major Updates[/h2]
For Kaz's Adventure (2022.) and Physics Lab (2023.), we used a simple naming system for our major updates being Major Update #1, Major Update #2 and so on but with this game, it's support is planned to last longer then the previous two games and as such it would be better to give each major update its own name rather then get to a point when major updates are called something like "Major Update #55".

Starting with the originally named Major Update #2, every major update will now have its own name with the next one being called The Level Creation Update, see below for further details.

[h2]The Level Creation Update - V1.2.2[/h2]
The Level Creation Update will add the instantly unlocked Level Editor 2.0 mode which first appeared in Kaz's Adventure (2022.) as a secret unlockable mode after collecting a particular amount of power jars.





This level editor will be a massive improvement on the original 2022 mode with grid snap, camera movement, more tiles, custom level saves and more, I don't want to reveal to much about the mode as there will be alot you can do in this mode and we plan to add to the mode in future updates too.

V1.2.2 will also bring some extra additions like a redesign of the main menu, reorganised way to access your paid content and French localisation.

We hope to bring you our biggest update yet around Q3 2025.
