PHAIGEX V1.0.4.7 PATCH NOTES

Happy New Year, Confiners! Here we are again for another quick update.

The bulk of bug fixing has subsided for quite some time, giving us the opportunity to deal with some minor nitpicks, and polish them even further. We added some SFX interactions to some weapons and passives that were mostly quiet during the chaos of AI cleaning. We have to spice up the sound department as well, so watch out for more game audio updates soon.

  • [DMG] Stat Description
    - Attack Damage modifier also affects damage-dealing Passives and SP Tech
  • [Reactive Armor] Passive
    - Increased shrapnel damage
    - Description update: Reactive Armor is triggered by direct hits from drones and enemy projectiles
    - Beams and Area Hazards will not trigger Reactive Armor
  • [Drone] Tag Weapons
    - Revised stat descriptions in Support Shop
  • Edited SFX for selected Weapons and Passives
    - Plasma Blade
    - Fusion Orb
    - Burst Fever
    - Force Wave
    - Dispersal Chaff
  • Added SFX for selected Weapons and Passives
    - Blitz Hunter normal shots
    - Leech Slave attach and energy absorb
    - Reactive Armor trigger
    - EMP Bolt Lv5 Shockwave
  • Hyperspace: Capture Mission
    - Added [CAPTURE NODE] labels to Docking Zones around the map
  • Hyperspace: Apollo Limited Mission
    - Updated the transport ship to use the current Apollo sprite images

[h2]BUG FIXES[/h2]
  • Comet Ship: full Tech Meter interactions (sfx, Prime Skin folding wing animation) plays even without [Kinetic Accelerator] equipped
  • EMP Bolt & EMP Stream: fixed damage application against enemy shields
  • Missile Disruption: Missile flares should now be turned off as well as missile thrust trails

Don't mind us, we'll keep on polishing the game for the end of the year. Just enjoy the improvements we'll be making to the PhaigeX workplace as much as possible.

The fight against game-related bugs keeps on going! This update will focus on bug fixes to improve game performance, and to resolve some minor nitpicks here and there. We got to keep on polishing until it's shiny and clean of bugs!

[h2]BUG FIXES[/h2]
  • Title Screen: BG Warp position/rotation fixes after coming back from End Game Stats
  • Menu UI: Adjustments to labels to avoid overflowing text
  • Gameplay: Incursion-related bug that increases Warp Core drop rate
  • Gameplay: Contact-damage type weapons causing heavy lag while game is paused via Support Shop or Pause Menu
  • Pause Menu / Support Shop: Selective Manual Fire not properly reflecting its current state
  • Support Shop: Description colored text display issues
  • Support Shop: [Learning Machine] should not be accessible in Hyperspace Campaign
  • Hyperspace Campaign: During [Capture Base] mission, controlled choice events are getting overridden by Limited Mission
  • Hyperspace Campaign: Stop the rise of Incursion Rate once Megalith is destroyed (not applicable if hidden boss fight after Megalith is unlocked)
  • Monarch Prime Skin: Removed Tech Meter gain mechanic from dealing damage with Drone Assault, the extra function should only be the [Gain Tech Meter when not firing weapons]
  • [Rave Party] Achievement: Adjusted mechanics so its easier to achieve
  • Transportal: Equipping Alter and Prime Skins makes single rolls spawn with missing sprites

For today's quick update, we are working on how to better communicate PhaigeX's game mechanics with less confusion or misinterpretation from vaguely-worded descriptions. Also, reports from recorded streamers shown some visual UI bugs, and we sure have to fix those!

It's now time to clear things up:

[h2]GAME CHANGES[/h2]
  • EMP Slow Debuff Mechanic
    - [EMP Slow] debuff is the term for inflicting [Reduction to Rate of Fire and Movement Speed]
    - This basically debilitates the enemies' function, rendering them easy pickings for your weapons
    - Applying this debuff in with other sources makes them Stack Additively, slowing down to a halt
    - Without stacking, the EMP Slow status eventually weakens out over time until it wears off.
    - Remember that the enemy can do the same to you as well with their own disruption tech
  • Buffs to [Debuff] tag Weapons
    - [Lightning Fence Lv2] Lightning Arc now inflicts EMP slow to enemy ships as they pass by
    - [EMP Bolt Lv1] can now disrupt homing missile guidance on hit
    - [EMP Bolt Lv5] leaves a small shockwave on hit that can disrupt drones and missiles
    - As a visual indicator, disrupted missiles loses their thrust and just floats around
  • SP Tech Descriptions Update
    - To lessen confusion of the way to use the SP Techs, [Lv1 text descriptions have been elaborated]
    - SP Tech descriptions now tells the way to [Gain Tech Meter] and [Activate SP Tech]

[h2]BUG FIXES[/h2]
  • Hyperspace Mode: CRITICAL BUG where having an Allied Leviathan (reward from a limited mission) on Megalith Event without [PhaigeX Cavalry] passive causes the stage to freeze
  • Hyperspace Mode: Added tooltips for those choices that provide resources + ship modifier
  • Hyperspace Mode: Fixed events that allows both [Defeat Fleet] and [Defeat Boss] success events to trigger at the same mission
  • Transportal: Fixed Bug where [Rave-N Achievement] triggers when obtaining [Arbalest]
  • Transportal: Fixed UI display bugs
  • Game UI Fixed overflowing text display bugs showing up in other systems

In time for the Winter Sale, we have implemented a bunch of changes and polishes. Various adjustments had to be made in order to give more attention to unused powerups, improve variety of game events, and balancing the work's difficulty level. I hope you enjoy the improvements we have made!

  • Hyperspace Campaign
    [h5]Choices[/h5]
    - Increased values for choices that increases Incursion Rate
    [h5]Event Selection[/h5]
    - Adjustments to randomization to allow for a wider variety of encounters
    [h5]Support Shop[/h5]
    - Adjustments to the reroll mechanics for Ship Modifiers
    [h5]Defend/Protect Allied Unit Events[/h5]
    - Added HP bar to the Allied Ships/Structures needing to be protected

    [h5]Merchant Events[/h5]
    - Upon reaching Full Arsenal (fully equipped and maxed out weapon and passive slots), instead of disabling the choices, they will sell stat upgrades instead

    [h5]Artemis/Apollo Limited Missions[/h5]
    - Increased transport ships' Health Points so that they don't get easily destroyed, failing the limited mission
    [h5]Hyperspace Satellite Limited Mission[/h5]
    - If [PhaigeX Cavalry] is already unlocked, this mission is guaranteed to be encountered at around 80/100 Sector Progress
    [h5]Jormungandr Boss[/h5]
    - Improved movement behavior

  • Artemis Support Module
    - Damage nerf to weapons

  • Apollo Support Module
    - Damage nerf to weapons
    - Sprite and paint job changes, to look better while docked to the player ship


  • Player Ship: Arbalest Adjustments
    - Removed camera repositioning in Breach Mode

  • Player Ship: Rave-N Adjustments
    - DMG Buff: 60% -> 80%
    - MHP Buff: 60% -> 100%
    - Diffraction Prism Lv5: Radiation Shockwave now slows enemies' movement speed and rate of fire

  • Weapon: Lightning Fence Adjustments
    - Lightning Fence Lv2 and Lv4 adds slow effect, reducing enemies' movement speed and rate of fire

  • Weapon: EMP Stream and Passive: Glitch Protocol Adjustments
    - Reduced stun duration against BOSS-type enemies to 0.5 seconds

[h2]BUG FIXES[/h2]
  • Hyperspace Mode: Selling powerups should also remove the equipped tags that influence choice availability
  • Hyperspace Mode: Save data also keeps track of the ship skin used
  • Hyperspace Mode: Fixed damage mechanics to lessen unfortunate insta-kill moments via drone swarms
  • Fortress Shell messing up the rotation point of the Fortress player ship
  • Rave-N Diffraction Prisms getting destroyed, when these should be invulnerable
  • Enemy Structures' portals not disappearing when destroying structure parts
  • Apollo's Sweeping Formation visual bug regarding beam flares staying after the beams finished firing
  • Swole Caliber Ship Modifier bullet size changes doesn't reflect the moment it gets equipped (but the effect applies upon warping to the next hyperspace area)
  • Title screen fumble that gave free 500 warp cores on new saves (For those who got them, Merry Christmas!)
