3/30/2024 BETA PATCH NOTES

Happy Easter, PhaigeX employees!

While in the middle of the Weapon Pack 2 milestone (the new Passives are currently in progress, development-wise), it was decided that the remaining ship modifier slots should be filled out as well. We had the extra time, so we went back and reviewed the Ship Modifier list. Had new ones added in, and made changes with some of the old ones.

In addition, rejoice Steam Deck users, because PhaigeX now supports 16:10 resolution! Just change the resolution setting found in the Options.

Feel free to test these out in the Beta branch for now, this will be formally released after the new passives finished development and testing.
Gameplay Changes
•
Ship Modifier Changes
- Added new ship modifiers for all 3 categories, unlock these via the Transportal or through the endgame rewards
    - Moved [Support Barrier] to Support Modifier Category, no need to unlock this again if already obtained
  •
16:10 Resolution Support for Steam Deck users
- UI adjustments to fit the new resolution
  •
Demolition Mode Changes
- Incursion Level will not go below a certain value, depending on mission progress
    - This Minimum Incursion Level Cap increases based on the number of Energy Pylons destroyed

3/23/2024 POWERUP PACK 2 (WEAPONS SIDE) UPDATE

Load up your arsenal, PhaigeX employees!

Live testing, data gathering and revisions have been done to the Powerup Pack 2 weaponry, and now these are ready for combat. We are now including them into your arsenal in this update!

Again, to be able to use these new weapons, unlock them first by doing some specific achievements that you can find in the weapon database. Once unlocked, these will be available in the support shop (During your very run even!) to be bought.

The new weapons consist of:

• Junk Ball - magnetic ball that grows in size and damage as it absorbs drones

• Hull Burster - cannon shell that leaves wide area explosions on ships

• Rad Bomb - bomb that leaves intense heat zones that slows and damages over time

• Block Head - straight-moving missile equipped with directional shields

• Drill Seeker - homing missile that pierces and deals multiple hits

• Spin Saucer - defensive saw blade drones

• Leech Slave - drones that drain energy from ships, then returns and repairs the player
Gameplay Changes
•
Review and Tag Adjustments for all Player Ship Weapons and Passives
- The player ship now warps in on a random location, rather than be always near on the Megalith itself
  •
Visual Updates and Stat Balancing for the New Weapons... and Issue Fixes
- The weapons should be looking better and paced better in terms of upgrade progression compared to their Beta versions, not to mention have most of their issues fixed
Bug Fixes
• Fixed Mirage's [Afterimage] bugs with equipped drone weapons
  • Fixed Rave-N's [Rave Gamma Blaster] performance-hogging issue when used on ships

  • Fixed Rave-N's [Diffraction Prism] Pulse Laser attack interaction with new beam weapons
  • Fixed erratic behavior of beam weapons after selling or upgrading in the support shop
  • Fixed Fleet Assault Mode issues with Oracle's converted ships leading to soft locks because converted ships do not count towards targets destroyed

We are still not finished with the Powerup Pack 2! Look forward to the new passives the people at Development are cooking up. Also, tell us your impressions about the newly-implemented weapons. As always, feedback and suggestions are welcome.

Towards a brighter future,

The PhaigeX MegaCorp.
