Calling all Confiners! We are finally at the home stretch!

We apologize for the past few months without regular game updates. Worry not, for that period of time was time well-spent completing the rest of the game. Just look at that big list of changes below!

[h2]NEW GAME FEATURES[/h2]
  • Hyperspace Mode Limited Missions
    - Prototype Retrieval Mission
    - Experimental Unit Transport Mission
    - Hyperspace Satellite Mission
  • New Support Crafts
    These can be obtained by clearing specific Limited Missions in Hyperspace Mode
  • New Passive: PhaigeX Cavalry
    Here's a peek to what this passive does:
  • New Player Ship Alter Skins
    We called them "Prime Skins", to depict their peak of development. Simply put, these are the final forms of the original ships. Like the Alter Skins before, a selected unique ability of the ship is modified, potentially changing the ships' play style in a way that surpasses the original. What's cooler about them are the articulated ship parts that move whether by default, or when you use your SP Tech! Unlock them by finishing Hyperspace Mode with your chosen ship.

[h2]GAME CHANGES / ADJUSTMENTS[/h2]
  • Color-Coded weapon and thruster effects for Allies and Enemies
  • Visual effects changes between player ship skins for certain unique abilities
  • Support Craft: Avalon Update
    - Point-Defense Autocannons changed to Flak Cannons
    - Flak cannons shoot bullets that explode after a set distance, dealing area damage
  • Player Ship: Mirage Update
    - Only a Maximum of 5 Afterimages can be present on the field
  • Weapon: Shot Wave
    - Increased projectile size
  • Weapon: Spread Shard
    - Increased projectile count
  • Enemy Weapon: Explosive Missiles
    - Has an short inactive phase as the missile is launched straight
    - Upon activation, the missile's trails appear and starts homing towards the player ship
    - Does not have an invincible starting period anymore, can be shot down anytime
  • Enemy Turrets with Aiming Lines
    - Aiming lines blink as it prepares to shoot
    - Once the line stops blinking, it indicates that the turret is about to fire
  • Hyperspace Mode
    - After finishing a Hyperspace event, any powerups left on the field will automatically be collected
    - Support Shop: Buyable Ship Modifiers starts appearing upon reaching Full Arsenal, when all weapon & passive slots are filled AND fully upgraded
    - Gravity Well Events: gravity pull activates after UI event text is closed
  • Audio SFX
    - Lower the cap of stacking SFX to avoid breaking eardrums.

[h2]BUG FIXES[/h2]
  • Hyperspace Mode: Modifier Tutorial should also show when it first appears on rerolls
  • Hyperspace Mode: In Capture Recon Base event, prevent loading Limited Missions for the next area
  • Hyperspace Mode: Prevent Leviathan from taking damage after successful event
  • Hyperspace Mode: Event text Warp back to HQ appearing with 99 sector progress
  • High-speed Drone Wave Event: Do not spawn another wave while there is a currently active wave
  • Fleet Assault: Errors during asteroid spawns
  • Ship Modifier Bug: [Right on Time] not following 90 seconds
  • Ship Modifier Bug: Duplicating Stat Values
  • UI Bug: Wrong Ship count on end game screen
  • Visual Bug: Enemy Ships' critical sector not darkening when destroyed
  • Weapon Bug: [Homing Missile] tracking destroyed structures
  • Weapon Bug: [Spread Shard] bullet motion made smoother
  • Weapon Bug: [Gatling Laser] and [EMP Stream] interaction problems with [Buster Beam]
  • Passive Bug: [Combination Craft] time extension effect activating on Lv1, should be at Lv3

Technically, we have reached the final milestone. Just need to polish some loose ends, and we are ready for PhaigeX's full release some time this December. So keep the feedbacks and suggestions coming! We're doing this together until our end goal!

We are back yet again for some game tweaks and tune-ups for a better workplace experience. Thank you always for the continued support and valuable feedback you give us.

  • [h3]Hyperspace Campaign: Overdrive Mode[/h3]
    - This is a non-stop combat version of Hyperspace Campaign
    - For those people who don't want to deal with event choices
    - No shortcuts, no escapes... Always fight your way to clear objectives
    - No more automatic Support Calls at the end of objectives
    - Completing the objective automatically moves to the next sector after a countdown
  • [h3]Hyperspace Mode Changes[/h3]
    - Shop UI: Ship modifiers can now be rolled and bought in the Support Shop
    - Powerup Drop Rates: Reduce drop rates from drones
    - Increased allied escort ship damage

[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • [h3]User Interface[/h3]
    - Game HUD: Equipped weapon icon for ROF fills up accurately, accounting for modified values
    - Pause Menu: buggy behavior when pausing while support ship is on the field

Nice to have you back, Confiners!

With the recently-concluded PhaigeX playtest, we have received lots of valuable feedback from you, so we had to address more issues than usual and implement more changes to better the workplace. Always keep improving towards the brighter future!

For those who missed the playtest, the Demo version of PhaigeX is also updated to match the current build. Being a demo though, some of the game features are restricted as listed below.

[h2]DEMO LIMITATIONS[/h2]
  • Limited unlocks: Only ships and upgrades from Origin banner can be unlocked
  • Limited unlocks: Only one-star modifiers can be rolled and equipped from the Transportal
  • Hyperspace Mode game session prematurely ends after reaching [50/100] Sector Progress
  • Only Hyperspace Campaign and Survival mode game modes are available. Access restricted for Fleet Assault and Demolition Modes.

With that out of the way, we are here again to announce today's updates.

    - Main Menu: Sped up UI transition animations between menus
    - Game HUD: Added Color flashes to HP bar (and blue Shield bar when you have a barrier) to indicate getting damaged
    - Pause UI: Added Equipped Modifiers panel to show the effects of currently-equipped modifiers
    - Pause UI: Simplified Selected Player Ship and Support Craft display
    - Hyperspace Mode: Enlarged the "Warp to Next Area" text indicator
    - Hyperspace Mode: Tooltip for replacing modifiers shows the currently equipped and the chosen modifiers' effects
