The international airport, based in Kentucky and serving the Cincinnati region, throughout Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and beyond.
The airport's code, CVG, is derived the words Cincinnati Vicinity and Greater. Serving commercial passengers since 1947 with more than an area of 7,700 acres (3,100 ha) and offers non-stop passenger service to over 50 destinations in North America and Europe, handling numerous domestic and international cargo flights every day.



The airport has one terminal and two concourses with a total of 51 gates. Both concourses are islands and are only accessible by an underground moving walkway and people mover. All international arrivals without pre-clearance are handled in Concourse B.

[h3]Terminals[/h3]
This airport has two terminals: A and B. Terminal A is for national flights and Terminal B is for International flights. It also has an FBO terminal. It's airstrip is 10,170 ft-long by 147 meters-wide.



The airport has two levels. Ground (main) level's accessibility is directly from street; it has airline check-in counters (for both domestic and international) and the common airport services: restaurants, shops, post office, bank and currency exchange house.

[h3]Runways[/h3]
It presents a single runway, designated as 04/22, measuring 3,100 metres (10,200 ft) in length with an asphalt surface. The commercial aviation apron has 12 parking positions next to the terminal and eight remote positions. The general aviation apron provides stands for fixed-wing aircraft and heliports for private aviation.

The airport provides nonstop service to airports throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and to sun destinations. In 2023 there were more than 270 daily departures to 80 nonstop domestic and international locations.



The airport has two terminals, five concourses, and 86 gates.

– Terminal 1 contains 36 gates across two concourses, lettered A and C. It also has an American Airlines Admirals Club and one of the nation’s largest USO facilities.
– Terminal 2 contains 18 gates across one concourse, lettered E. It also has a public lounge operated by Wingtips. All international flights without border preclearance are processed in Terminal 2.



Runways

The airport has four runways: three parallel and one crosswind. The crosswind runway, 6/24, is the shortest of the four at 7,607 feet (2,319 m). The newest runway is 11/29, completed in 2006 as part of a large expansion program.
