CYYZ - Toronto Airport :


Toronto Pearson airport is North America's second largest in terms of international traffic, capable of dealing with millions of passengers every year. The airport was known as Malton Airport when it started operating in 1939. Conveniently located 22.5 km (14 mi) northwest of Downtown Toronto.

Pearson has five main runways and 30 taxiways, constructed of concrete, asphalt or a combination of the two. Toronto airport has two active public terminals, 1 and 3.

Terminal 1 measures over 346,000 m2, making it the largest airport terminal in Canada. Has three concourses (D,E,F), contains 58 gates.

It has two asphalt runways:

Runway 12/30: 10,996 ft × 150 ft (3,352 m × 46 m), with ILS
Runway 4/22: 7,000 ft × 150 ft (2,134 m × 46 m)
Runway 11R/29L: 8,408 ft × 75 ft (2,563 m × 23 m) (closed permanently)

The terminal has three concourses: Concourse A has nine gates, A1 through A9, Concourse B has eleven gates, B1 through B11. Concourse C is in a separate building west of the main terminal and has one gate, C1.
