Events Fatherhood Was Part of

In our game dev journey, there were many events we were part of. But what distinguishes one from another, is its results; so let’s dive into the lessons you should learn!

Game Slice 2020
3 years ago, with an online booth; it could be experienced with both browsers or even VR headsets. We designed the booth, by adding some info, screenshots, and a trailer, as our best effort. People could test games, and our game as well, but since we had no playable demo at the time, we created a form to give feedbacks from audiences, with just the information we provided. It was our first time to be part of a 3D virtual gaming space! And the results were super good, even with no playable demo!

CGC Live 2020
Our game was selected to be showcased at the website of this event, so we had a chance to get more audiences to know more about our game! So we were part of this online event, and what’s interesting is that there were many pieces to the puzzle of CGC, like a lecture part it had! Again we added our info, screenshot, video, etc.

Boston FIG 2022
A cool gaming event, with again, a virtual booth (in Gather space)! We got many feedbacks from people, they communicated with us, joined the server, and some played our demo, and you guessed right! We had a playable demo after all at the time! So the results were awesome!

PitchYaGame Live 2022
A movement, live on Twitter, with poor results for us! You can be part of this movement by a hashtag at a particular time, to pitch your game, and if you’re a great dev, you could face great results, since the mass of games was… unexplainable, there were many many many games using this hashtag to be pitched!

BIC 2022
We’re selected for this event, as one of the best games of this festival! It’s both online and offline (not held yet), and we have an opportunity to get some feedbacks from those who’d test our demo! We have an online booth right now for people to go get some info! Be sure to visit us and show your love!

GDC Summer 2020
An opportunity to do many, but we decided to be part of its B2B aspect, to communicate with publishers and services, as our first experience to do so in an online space! We pitched our game with NO playable demo to many publishers, and yeah, the results were justifiable! This event, this B2B event to be more exact, happened at the time when Fatherhood was too young, maybe just 4 months of development had passed!

GamesCom 2020
Again a B2B opportunity and an interesting moment from a business standpoint; we communicated with publishers, and it was a great experience for us, with a few pieces of info we had for the game
(NO demo!).

Global Games Pitch 2021
Unlike other B2B opportunities, instead of having pitches with publishers, one by one, you could present your game at a particular time to all the publishers at once. One pitch, one monitor for all publishers! That’s it! When the event ended, even our profile on the event’s website was active, and sometimes people talked with us about our game, they could be publishers, or normal people (Special thanks to Gavin Russell from Sony!).

IndieGame Business Sessions 2022
Good results we got from communicating with publishers! A B2b event, to present our game, nothing bad about it AT ALL!

NarraScope 2022
A space on the Gather, with a virtual booth we had… And… Nothing happened! It’s all about narrative-based entertainment, like video games and interactive media! But it didn’t work for us. A cool idea anyway!
