We're moving to Discord, officially![/p][p]The current forum log-in issue has placed us in a position to shift our community space. However, this has been a decision we've thought about for some time now. We are no stranger to Discord after all, as we've worked with many awesome community members in that space before. From streamer vs. streamer events, community discord support, content creator support, planetside battles support and more! Discord has shown us that it can be a home for the planetside community and we want to make it a home for you! [/p][p]Speaking of Discord communities, be sure to add the existing community Discord to your list. However, we are working to make it read-only for all your archival needs. Once and if we can make that happen, we will share the link to the existing forums on our official Discord server.[/p][p]But note, when that time comes, the forums will no longer be linked from our homepage and instead a new Discord link will be in its place. Log-ins and Signups to the existing forums will no longer work.[/p][p]We are tentatively shooting for this to happen around 3/16 so be sure to check our socials for further updates.[/p][p]In the meantime forum log-ins are still spotty but we will continue to monitor all conversations there until its closure on 3/16.[/p][hr][/hr][h2]Official PlanetSide 2 Discord Server[/h2][p]And now the moment you all have been waiting for! Upon opening day 3/16, we will mirror most of the sub forum categories from our forums over to Discord. Please see the patch notes below.[/h3][hr][/hr][h2]Maintenance duration[/h2][p]This March update will involve an extended maintenance period of up to 6 hours instead of the usual 3 hours, as we continue our ongoing work to improve server stability and overall performance.[/p][p][/p][h2]Crashes and Disconnections / Auto-Kicks[/h2][p]Our main goal is to provide players with a smooth and comfortable gameplay experience. Therefore, issues related to crashes and disconnections/auto-kicks remain our highest priority.[/p][p]While the latest hotfix significantly reduced the number of crashes — as confirmed by both player reports and internal logs — we were still observing several recurring issues. In this patch, we have addressed a number of them and implemented additional stability improvements.[/p][p]Unfortunately, not all crashes can be resolved on our side. Some issues are caused by conflicts between the operating system and hardware, which are beyond the game’s control. However, we are providing guidance to help players avoid certain problems.[/p][hr][/hr][h3]G12 Crash Investigation[/h3][p]We have investigated the G12 crash.[/p][p]Our findings indicate that it is caused by issues with the DirectX driver or the graphics card.[/p][p]Players experiencing this issue (receiving the "G12" error code after a crash) should:[/p]

• [p]Update their graphics card drivers to the latest version.[/p]
• [p]If their system has both integrated and discrete graphics cards (commonly found in laptops), try disabling the integrated graphics card through the BIOS.[/p]

[p]Please note: On the latest versions of Windows 11, the system may lose detection of graphics devices when switching between GPUs. This behavior is related to the operating system and cannot be fixed on the game’s side.[/p][hr][/hr][h3]Other Crash related Fixes[/h3]

• [p]Fixed several crashes caused by errors in the audio system.[/p]
• [p]Implemented additional internal stability improvements to reduce unexpected disconnections and auto-kicks.[/p]

[p]We will continue monitoring crash reports and player feedback to further improve stability in future updates. • [p]Added localization for the Spitfire "Observer" Auto-Turret.[/p]

• [p]We have received a significant number of reports from players regarding crashes and disconnects following the February update. After an investigation, we determined that these were not client-side crashes, but kicks triggered by the anti-cheat system. In this hotfix, we have adjusted the anti-cheat system to reduce the likelihood of false positives (unintended kicks).[/p]

• [p]Matchmaker: Sightseeing Mission fixed.[/p]
• [p]The Stalker Cloak ability now recharges while standing still. Fixed recharge functionality across all ability levels.[/p]
