This Warhammer 40K gaming PC build is simply outstanding. Inspired by the Ultramarine space marine chapter from the classic tabletop game, this PC build was made to participate in the 2024 Thermaltake CaseMOD Academy competition, and I love it.

This Thermaltake sponsored build doesn't just look great, but it also has the specs of a very powerful gaming PC. The Intel Core i7 14700K is still a powerhouse gaming CPU, while the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti makes for a great mid-tier Nvidia graphics card. Not only are these the sorts of specs often found in some of the best gaming PC designs out there right now, but all the gear is housed in a fantastic Warhammer 40K-themed case, covered in purity seals, with the aquila eagle sign of the imperium on the top.

Space Marine 2's new update just gave it a big boost on Steam Deck and handhelds

Space Marine 2 has just been given a big patch, which not only upgrades resolution upscaling, but also adds frame generation for both Nvidia and AMD GPUs. The Warhammer 40K title has been a major hit, and the new update should massively improve frame rates on handhelds such as the Steam Deck too.

Even the best gaming handheld devices aren't really capable of running Space Marine 2 at a steady pace. Valve's Steam Deck gets the shortest end of the stick, with its weaker hardware. However, the newest update's introduction of FSR 3 frame generation should smooth out the frame rate significantly, even if it's not a recommended way to play.

[h2]DARK ANGELS COSMETICS 🪽[/h2]

The new Obelisk Update is out now, which means the very much awaited Dark Angels Chapter Pack is now yours! It comes with:

Dark Angels cosmetics for your weapons: the Auto Bolt Rifle, the Plasma Pistol and the Power Sword
The Dark Angels Champion
A unique armour set and banner for the Bulwark Class. The Bulwark class will also get a unique Dark Angels Storm Shield.

The Dark Angels Chapter Pack includes the heraldry items of the Second Foundings and Successor Chapters of the Dark Angels:

the Angels of Absolution
the Angels of Redemption
the Angels of Vengeance
the Unnamed
the Blades of Vengeance
the Cowled Wardens
the Bringers of Judgement
the Angels of Defiance.

New armour pieces will also be added, including a fan-favourite helmet: the Mark VIII Ravenwing! All these items will be available to unlock as part of an heraldry cosmetic.

Last addition to the customisation menu, the colour lenses are finally here! Choose among 15 different colours to customise your Space Marine even more!

[h2]NEW PVE OPERATION: OBELISK ⚔️[/h2]

For this Operation, you’ll be sent to Demerium to rotate a replica of the obelisk to disrupt the flow of energy protecting the Aurora device. This operation takes place in parallel to the final events of the campaign.

To reach the console control of the obelisk, you’ll have to make it through a tomb plunged into darkness. To make your progression even tougher, the Chaos forces see a new addition to their roster: the Tzaangor Enlightened, a new Majoris enemy! They will now appear in every PvE Operation with Chaos.

Finally, on tech side, 5.0 update will bring Frame generation support with the integration of DLSS 3 and FSR 3.1.

A huge Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 patch has landed improving many parts of the game, along with helping performance with an upgrade to NVIDIA DLSS3, AMD FSR3.1 and Frame Generation plus some improvements to their anti-cheat (Easy Anti-Cheat).
