DEV LOG #2: our developers play against each other on YouTube
[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
At Sentience Game Studio, we have a lovely tradition: before letting players get their hands on South Pole Bebop on Steam we organize an internal test among our devs, and not only devs!
In March, we held another internal test. This time, we decided to make a whole tournament (or a mini-league) out of it. So we set some rewards for the winner and runner-ups to boost motivation and contribute to the competitive atmosphere of the test. The grand prize was a buffet dinner for 2 at a luxurious restaurant.
As a result, every single person from the studio participated in the event, even our HR-manager! Nevertheless, as expected our game designer asserted his dominance and won the tournament, even beating our developers. Who else could win the tournament if not someone who came up with the game mechanics and concept in the first place?
