Two Point Museum Meets DREDGE In Major Free Update

Two Point Museum is about to get a little weirder, thanks to a surprise crossover with the eerie fishing sim Dredge.

Two Point Museum has been a solid release, delivering hours of enjoyment in its strange and unique world. With the latest update, it is about to get stranger. Update 5.0 introduces the Digiverse, a new expedition map featuring two rifts that present unique challenges and discoveries.

For fans of indie games, one rift in particular is especially exciting. It connects the Two Point universe to the eerie world of Dredge, where curators can uncover new exhibits, collect deep-sea specimens and reel in 10 unusual new catches. “Daytime fishing is fine. Nighttime is … unwise,” Two Point Studios teased in its announcement, hinting at the supernatural hazards awaiting players in these waters.

The second rift transports museum staff into Meat Wizard, a beloved fictional video game within the Two Point universe. Here, digital archaeologists can unearth quirky relics... Read more

Welcome to the Digiverse | Coming August 28th

[p]Welcome Curators… to the Digiverse![/p][p]You’re just in time friends, someone spilt a coffee all over the Meat Wizard arcade machine and it might have caused a minor space-time continuum… something strange is happening to the fibrous fabric of digital space-time in Two Point County.[/p][p][/p][p]This unusual activity has opened up rifts that lead to other worlds in a place/not-place they're calling The Digiverse, a new expedition map.[/p][p][/p][p]These rifts look a tad volatile, but it doesn’t look like anything to fear… yet. We should definitely monitor it to see if anything changes. They look big enough to fly a chopper into, so, in the name of exploration, how about we open this thing up and take a look inside?[/p][p][/p][p]In the first rift, you'll hire new Digital Experts and send them into the unknown, as they explore video game history across three Meat Wizard titles (Two Point County's most beloved video game title). Explore four new points of interest to discover new exhibits, decor and workshop items. [/p][p]So, from August 28th, will your experts meat their fates, or can they delve deeper, avoid Brorcillis, and discover the design flaws of Meat Wizard 3D?[/p]
 • [p]Explore a nostalgic trip into the County’s video game history[/p]
 • [p]Adventure in Meat Wizard 1 & 2, and perhaps discover the franchise’s darkest secret…[/p]
 • [p]Discover seven new Exhibits across four new Points of Interest[/p]
 • [p]Build two new Interactive Displays: Meat Wizard Arcade Machines[/p]
 • [p]Find and unlock Power Ups, a new boon-giving project for the workshop[/p]
[p]The Digiverse map will grow over time as new rifts are discovered, providing new exhibits, decoration and game play.[/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p]

[p]So, when can we explore?[/p][p]Our latest update, version 5.0, is coming August 28th. This is free update for all players! The new expedition map, called the Digiverse will become part of the base game for Two Point Museum, unlocked after completing City Act 2 (Memento Mile).[/p][p]Alongside new opportunities to explore the Digiverse, update 5.0 will also include some lovely non-Digiverse new stuff, quality of life changes, new language support, bug fixes and a tonne of optimisations.[/p][p]If you’re eager to know more, check out our latest stream where we investigate the first rift of The Digiverse: [/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p] [/p]

Small Patch 4.1.191205

[p]Hi everyone,
[/p][p]Here's the small update that went onto the beta ahead of the weekend.[/p][p][/p][p]We've been working hard to fix some particularly annoying bugs to pin down, including issues with Geodes in Fantasy Finds and an annoying bug in Passwater Cove with stuck guests.[/p][p][/p]
Steam Hotfix - 4.1.191205
• [p]Added VFX to Smelter and Training course[/p]
 • [p]Added a fix in for Guests getting stuck on Coastal[/p]
 • [p]Fixed Pilot Wings not countering the chopper damage[/p]
 • [p]Fixed an issue with the smelter smelting geodes and removing their collisions[/p]
 • [p]Twitch Integration: fixed an issue where Fantasy Experts hired from Twitch Chat would appear in hazmat suits[/p]
 • [p]Groups of Chickens forming entities will remain in game a little longer, we love them too much to patch[/p]
[p]
Please let us know any feedback, especially with the Geodes fix, as this was a risky change.

We apologise in advance if any stuck Geodes go missing. The team dedicated a lot of time to finding a work around however, this has been found as the only solution. This should only affect Geodes which were in a stuck state in the Smelter - if you have any issues with the Smelter or Geode exhibits, please let us know.

Take care and happy curating,
Abby and the Two Point Team
