Hello Heisters,

A small hotfix for some problems we found after yesterday's update.

• Fixed unintended contractor being visible in contract database
  
• Fixed unintended modification possibility on the MP40 where the medved R4 suppressor could be equipped
  
• Fixed an issue where the Medved R4 suppressor would crash on multiple single variants of SMGs. Some akimbo versions remain to be addressed
• Fixed an issue where controller support for ranking up using the new infamy pool system didn't function
  
• Potential fix for a crash when using Viper grenades on certain heists

Updates may be incompatible with the mods you may have installed. Even seemingly unrelated mods may cause unexpected issues. If you are experiencing any issues with the game; try removing any mods you may have installed and try again.

If you are having issues with an unmodded game you can try to verify the integrity of the game files. In the steam library; right click on PAYDAY 2. Select "Properties" from the menu. Under the tab "LOCAL FILES" select "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES...".
The process may take some time to finish.

In today's meta update we focus on experience and Infamy. We are adding a new way to rank up Infamy. If you are one of those that wanted to go infamous but have been hesitating to reset your profile to level 0, this is the system for you. The ‘old’ Infamy system is still available, meaning you can still choose to reset your level to 0 and gain a level of Infamy if you so choose.



You will now be able to gain progression towards the next Infamy without resetting your level or resetting your skills, however, it will be slower than normal progression.



The cost of a rank via the Infamy pool will be 30 million XP instead of the 23 million it would be if you used the regular reputation reset system to go infamous. This means that if you don't reset, you'll have to work harder in exchange for keeping your gear and skills.

The first 5 ranks of Infamy will still cost $200,000,000 no matter which system you use.

The new system will exist in conjunction with the old, whether you chose to reset your reputation level or not, we hope to see you rise through the ranks to the great heights where you belong.



We have gone over a few heists, searching for ones where securing loot bags would only grant cash and not XP. On the following heists; Border Crossing, San Martín Bank, Shacklethorne Auction, Yacht Heist, Nightclub, Firestarter (day 2), and all Transport heists except the train, will now grant XP for each loot bag you secure. Border Crossing will give 500XP per loot bag on Normal, and the others will give 1000XP. Yacht Heist will give 500XP per additional bag after the mandatory ones have been secured. These values will then increase if the heist is played on higher difficulties.

General

• Fixed an issue where enemies would not stop playing their voice lines upon death
  
• Fixed an issue where the “Plague Doctor” achievement did not track kills from older grenade launchers
  
• Changed an objective description of the Counterfeit heist that referred to the wrong ocean
• Added a limitation to the Crime Spree catch-up mechanic so you can't gain more than 100 bonus ranks from playing with a host of higher rank
  This limit only applies if the host is playing at 2,857 ranks higher than the clients
• Added additional experience points to multiple levels:
  • Yacht Heist will grant you 500XP on Normal difficulty per additional loot bags
  • Border Crossing will grant you 500XP on Normal difficulty per loot bag
  On the following hesits, loot bags will now grant you1000XP on Normal difficulty:
  • San Martín Bank
  • Shacklethorne Auction
  • Nightclub
  • Firestarter: Day 2
  • Transport: Crossroads
  • Transport: Underpass
  • Transport: Harbor
  • Transport: Park
  • Transport: Downtown

Weapons

• Fixed an issue where suppressors were disabled for the Deagle pistol even when the slide was not used
  
• Fixed a crash when using Viper grenades on certain heists
  
• Fixed an alignment issue on the SG Versteckt 51D LMG in first-person view
  
• Adjusted the Viper grenade drop off when shot by the Arbiter to make them fly further

VR

• Fixed a crash when restarting a heist while holding a magazine
