Dev Diary #7 - The Inquisition

[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]After the fall of Castle Vorago, the Inquisition claimed victory. They shattered the old order and declared the age of vampires over.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The Inquisition serves the Eternal Mother, a goddess who sees vampires as her sworn enemy. When Vorago fell, they cast the Silver Veil, a sacred spell meant to ensure no vampire would ever roam these lands again. In their eyes, they saved humanity.[/p][p]
But without ’monsters’ to hunt, they have grown suspicious of ordinary people. Fear spreads alongside the Silver Veil. Ordinary people become convenient targets.[/p][p]
Now you have awakened. With the remnants of Vorago’s forces at your side, you are tearing holes in the Silver Veil and their ranks. The Inquisition is disciplined, varied, and dangerous. And to ensure you bring the rule of night back, you need to know your enemy.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Each unit forces you to fight differently. Their standard sword infantry form the core of their ranks. They believe the age of vampires is over, and they fight like men who think they are finishing a job already done. You can block their strikes with a well-timed counterattack.[/p][p][/p][p]No formation would be complete without crossbowmen. Positioned behind the lines, they apply constant pressure from a distance. They force you to keep moving, but for all their discipline at range, they are not built for close combat. Break through their protection and bring the fight to them![/p][p][/p][p]Supporting them are spearmen, specialists in space control. They were trained to never let a vampire get close enough to sink its fangs. You must rely on dash and movement to slip past their guard and exploit openings.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Shield bearers are armed with a weapon and a shield. Light attacks will easily bounce off of it. Make sure you break that shield with a charged attack before you get to their necks.[/p][p][/p][p]At the top of their hierarchy stand the Elite Inquisitors, veterans of the fall of Vorago. Clad in heavy armor and wielding massive hammers, they do not falter easily. Dev Diary #6 - Reveka

[p][/p][p][/p][p]Few names are spoken with as much caution as Reveka’s. Once counted among Vorago’s most capable followers, she vanished when the Inquisition shattered the old order.[/p][p][/p][p]Loyal and capable, yet fiercely independent, she was often found close to Vorago or Razvan, but most often at Dragos’s side. When Vorago’s rule fell, she fled north, escaping the Inquisition and disappearing without a trace.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Not long after, she was sighted near the region now known as Hell’s Chasm. Shortly thereafter, the flames that plague the land began to rise.
