[h2]Master the Celestial Church: Tips for every Player ⚔️[/h2]
The Celestial Church offers a distinctive playstyle focused on its custom resource, Faith, and some powerful new units. To help you ascend the ranks — from a humble Squire to a grand Inquisitor — we’ve gathered some strategic tips for all experience levels.

For beginners (0-10 hours)[/h3]
The Celestial Church can be unforgiving if you spread your resources too thin. Focus on establishing a strong foundation with these core tips.
- Prioritize Leaders / Banding perks: Look out for heroes with the Leader or Banding perk and try to recruit units with the matching tag (e.g., Guardian or Believer). These pairings will grant a power boost to all affected units. For instance, the Inquisitor has the Leader II: Believer perk: therefore, Believer units in the Inquisitor’s army will receive a +2 Power boost!
- Invest in a Second Hero: Recruit a few basic units immediately, but then try to save some resources to afford the second hero offer that you will receive between turn 3 and 5. This provides essential flexibility to move resources across the map, move new units to your main army, etc.
- One Main Army Focus: Still focus on one army as your main powerhouse for more difficult battles (and defending your capital if needed). Use the other armies to transport units, loot, and clear easier battles on the fringes of your territory.

For intermediate players (10-50 hours)[/h3]
Once you grasp the basics, the next step is to make every turn count and secure key positions on the map.
- Optimize your Turns: Begin to optimize your turns by aiming to win a battle each turn, ideally taking a location in the process, and using up all of your movement points. Efficiency is crucial.
- Identify Strategic Locations: Try to identify strategic chokepoints or valuable resource locations early on, then make an effort to fortify and hold them against enemy incursions. For instance, Adventures can be extremely powerful…
- Harness the Power of Adventures: Adventures are useful locations since they let you fight two times in one turn (more XP!) and will grant you a reward after winning those — yet watch out to only take on Adventures that your army can safely survive.

For experts (50+ hours)[/h3]
If you seek true dominion over the Silence and are looking to climb the competitive ladder, you need to master the deepest mechanics and learn to exploit enemy weaknesses.
- Join the Community: If you are looking for competitive matches, connect with other players online (on our official Discord!) to find out about common strategies for faction economies and hero builds.
- Minimize your Losses: Get deeper into the perk system. Understand which perks will be strong against which (Pierce cancels Armor, Unwavering cancels Fear, etc.), inspect your opponents, and set up your army pre-battle to counter their strengths and take as little damage as possible.
- Place Buildings Strategically: Place building upgrades in locations that you want to hold, establish recruitment spots, and use one army as your supply line for gold and units. Think long-term about your territorial defense.
- Interfere with Opponents: Don't only think about your strengths and building up your economy, but also how to interfere with your opponent's buildup. Find out about the weaknesses of each faction and use this knowledge against your enemies to gain an edge. For instance, the Celestial Church strongly relies on Faith!
