Everyone, the time has come to embark on a new journey in Songs of Silence.

Today, we unveil Maps 5 & 6 in our exclusive Closed Beta Playtest! 🌍✨

These fresh battlefields are rife with untold challenges, demanding new strategies and offering fierce clashes between armies and heroes alike. But here’s the crucial part: we need YOUR feedback! 📝



We want to hear your thoughts on the balance of maps, army compositions, and hero abilities—this is where your insights are most vital! 🔄

👀 What We DON’T need : Feedback on the overall story—let’s save that for the grand reveal! For now, our focus is sharpening the blade of gameplay to perfection, and your feedback will help us forge the path ahead. 🛠️

[h2]🐛Kown Issues🐛[/h2]

Please keep in mind, that these maps are not final nor polished. Therefore some "critters" lie around.
  • Available in English only! Translations are not implemented.
  • Non-Spoken flavor texts not fully implemented in EN. Some placeholders may be visible.
  • AI may feel "slow" as movement is currently limited to ~5 points. Will have more range for 1.0, but currently they always march and making them vulnerable to ambushes.
  • AI calculations may take long on Map 06 and don't play as agressive as intended (~20s) while the AI attempts to find a path
  • AI on Map 05 may get stuck as it nears your Capital to siege it. But it will engage armies roaming.

Third Major UPDATE - v.0.8.0 OUT NOW!

Hi everyone!
How did you like Update 2? Did you already have time to play Multiplayer or experience the new Community Feature chose your Hero?

The past two weeks have been a ride! After finally bringing you our first version of Co-op (and having a blast on Stream with it) and the highly awaited Community Features, we were so glad that you notice how we’re constantly improving the game!

Even more, after our Ukrainian language update 💙💛 The support has been immense – thank you so much! We’re happy we can bring you so much joy.

BUT WE HAVE MORE! Let’s not talk forever, let's see what this Update brings you!



[h3][ROADMAP FEATURE] Difficulty Levels![/h3]
As promised, we finally bring you the difficulty levels. Now, everyone can play at their own pace.
This also includes normal balancing changes, but since the list is so long, we won't go into details. Next time we hope to bring back our list of changes!
  • Story Mode: For our story lovers, who want to explore the world of Songs of Silence, without the pressure of having to strategize deeply. Here you can sit back, enjoy the story and some matches – and get into the game!
  • Balanced Mode: If you played Songs of Silence before – then nothing changed for you in terms of difficulty. Of course, we improved some balancing, based on your feedback. The game is reasonably challenging, but won’t have you dive deep into strategy optimization.
  • Difficult Mode: You want to dive deep into unit formation, perk optimization and resource management in Songs of Silence? This mode is for you. Enjoy, and let us know what you think?

[h3][COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENTS] AI Improvements [/h3]
Ah, yes. Our beloved AI – which needs to learn a lot still. It’s like a baby and you need to teach it things. We’re improving it all the time, here’s the current list of improvements.

  • Improved the AI reserves interaction; including better handling of lootwagons.
  • Fixed neutral AI ignoring nearby armies. Neutral AIs will now be more aggressive. (yay!)
  • Fixed isolated AI armies not finding a path to the opponent’s capital.
  • Improved the AI to more reliably traverse purgatories.

[h3][ROADMAP FEATURE] Battle & Army Statistics [/h3]
This is something you were asking for from the very beginning, and we heard you. It just took us some time, but we got you now.
After each battle, you now have a little button called Casualties. You'll find info about your army and that of your enemy – or what’s left of it 😉.

Some quick notes: The causalities
  • Include units / combatants from Call Reserves
  • Include units / combatants from Garrison
  • Does NOT include summoned units
  • Includes up to 16 units per side

[h3][COMMUNITY FEEDBACK] Strategy Map Zoom-in & UI On/Off Toggle [/h3]
Close, Closer, Closest! You can now zoom in more on the strategy map, to have a look at our beautiful locations and environment. What is your favorite building or unit? Let us know!


[h3][COMMUNITY FEEDBACK] Quest Unlock Adjustments [/h3]
We did it. We stopped the grind. Thank you so much for being vocal about the Quest unlocks and sharing your feelings about it. While we still think, that we should keep the Quests – as they gradually introduce you to the Hero’s or Factions mechanic, we made it much easier for you to unlock them. All you have to do is win only 1 game, instead of 3.

And you can even speed that process up! Wanna know how? Ask the Community on Discord!😉

[h3][COMMUNITY FEEDBACK] Warning before Quitting MP Lobby ESC Key [/h3]
Recently, with new players coming in we got a lot of feedback regarding New Player Experiences [NPE]. The demand for confirmation popups is high, and we hear you. We are starting little by little, because we need to check the backend on multiple things. But rest assured, it’s on our list.
For starters, we brought you the Confirmation when leaving the Multiplayer Lobby. We hope it enhances your experience!

Meet our little Kobold friend! He is here to quickly bring you the latest news and fixes – IN THE GAME. So next time there is a hotfix or big update, you can directly check it out. Neat, right?



[h3]BUGS SQUASHED[/h3]
  • Enemy army stuck in locations - FIXED! We adjusted the AI "rules", should not be an issue anymore
  • Triune Tribunal of War now receives and deals damage (small oopsie)
  • Garrison units do not disappear anymore from Wild Purgatories when travelling through them
  • Void Summoning recruitment card is now playable in Wild Purgatories
  • Fixed an Issue where the WASD Camera Navigation moved too fast
  • Map 02: Improved the balancing for aggressive armies to make them feel more natural
  • Lightveins are (hopefully) not covered by vegetation anymore
  • Fixed a bug where armies got stuck in locations. Now they can get out again!

Thanks to the incredible effort of our Translators, this update has been fully translated – Щиро дякуємо! However, since it’s a Early Access Translation, there might still be a few bugs. That’s where you come in!

Second Major UPDATE - v.0.7.0 OUT NOW!

Hello Comrades!

You don't know how happy we are to bring you this update.
Thanks again for all your amazing feedback and suggestions from our last update! With those in mind, we now present to you our next major update from our updated Roadmap! 👇👇👇


Some of our fans might notice, this one looks different. So, to get the most important message out already: yes, we updated our Roadmap!
We realized we need a bit more time with the Difficulty Settings (being at Gamescom was an amazing – but also time-consuming experience...) so we’re going to bring them with v.0.8.0.

[h3][ROADMAP FEATURE] Co-op Multiplayer![/h3]
It’s finally happening - Co-op v.01 is available RIGHT NOW! One note, we know this feature can still be improved, your feedback and suggestions will be precious to make it even more enjoyable! Please feel free to hop on our Discord Server and leave feedback! We read it, promise. 😉


Here's a breakdown of what you can expect, for now:
  • Set up to 3 different teams.
  • Allies share the same victory condition. You win only if all players of the opposing teams are eliminated, but you can still be eliminated individually.
  • All allies share their vision, including info on hidden armies
  • Players can move through allied armies & locations – but not enter them!

[h3][COMMUNITY FEEDBACK] Choose your Next Hero![/h3]
This is a feature YOU wanted from the very beginning. So we are happy to introduce you to the long, long and rightfully awaited “Choose your Next Hero” option for single-player skirmish and multiplayer!

No more getting Erudite 3x in a row... This way, you have options. Neat, right?


Oh, we’re also bringing SOS on GOG, but you’re already here on Steam, so that’s not a biggie. 😉 Check out our Social Media posts for more news about this!

[h3]Balancing Updates[/h3]
None. We’re gonna bring them with the Difficulty Levels in the next Update. 😉 Stay tuned!

[h3]Bugs squashed[/h3]

  • Map 01 - Dialogues are not retriggered when retreating from initial battle anymore.
  • Unrest State - Fixed a bug where the unrest State persisted even when replacing an existing building in a location.
  • Input Device Dropdown - The dropdown menu for input devices does not vanish anymore after entering a match room.
  • Siege Exit - Armies inside a location under siege used to be able to exit the location in Skirmish / Multiplayer modes. Now they can’t.
  • Battle Biome - You now enter the correct battle biome when breaking a siege as a defender.
  • Combat Power Tooltip - Fixed the combat power display for Triune of Aranburg and Tribunal of War in the tooltip.
  • Exploit fix - Recruitment cards can no longer be re-used after reloading a manual save.
  • Adventure - The Explore card no longer appears playable after completing the Adventure.
  • Garrison Units - Garrison spawned by an additional rank from the Light Link building are no longer lost when leveling it up.

with Update 0.6.2! 🎉
Again, our Community fully translated this update - thanks to everyone who contributed! But a Community Translation means that there still might be some bugs. That’s where you come in!
