I thought my first build in Tiny Glade was impressive, but then I started looking at what other people were doing and now I'm not convinced I'm doing it right

When I completed my first build in Tiny Glade, I felt an immense sense of satisfaction. The lack of rules and restrictions let my creativity flow and I found a new confidence in my architectural ability, throwing windows onto walls and pulling trees from the ground in ways that always looked striking. I'm so used to building in The Sims or Minecraft and feeling the restrictions of resources or money, so Tiny Glade felt like a necessary change of pace. After kicking my feet up once my building was complete, I wanted to see what other players had managed to do. The result? Me humbling myself to a point where I booted up the game and cleared my glade to start again...

Patch 1.8.1 - More ways to create doors 🚪 + hotfixes

Hi all 👋 Here comes our first patch for the full game. It's just a few quick fixes + we are adding a new door creation method.

[h3]More ways to create doors[/h3]

Before, to get a door from a window, you needed a platform under it. Now, the window will turn into a door if it's close to ground, water or a bottom of a building 🙌 Thanks to the community for the suggestion and to everyone who tried the `new-door-chemistry` beta branch yesterday. There were no critical issues, thus we decided to merge it into the main game, and the beta branch will now be closed.

[h3](small) Fixes[/h3]

* Fix camera rotation key bindings being reversed
* Fix image corruption on Adreno (Snapdragon)
* Fixed a crash when hovering over a 3d gizmo
* Don't offer coloring menu for metal pipes since they don't have other colors

[h3]Current issues[/h3]

We've seen a lot of crashes on Radeon 5xxx XT series. If you're experiencing them, here is a post with current updates and some potential workarounds. Meanwhile, we're talking with AMD and trying to resolve it as quickly as possible.

We've also heard some reports of the game becoming black and white, or turning the "sculpture" mode on (the one that removes textures). It seems like photomode filters sometimes invade the building mode. We're currently investigating the cause. Meanwhile, if you restart the game, it should restore the correct colors.

Stunning sandbox building game Tiny Glade is finally here, with a demo

I oftentimes find it difficult to play videogames after work. Writing about them all day is a privilege, but it does mean I don't want to move from my office to my couch to just play what I've been writing about. Games that hone in on warm, relaxing vibes are a different story. I can easily sit and create in games like Minecraft and Terraria to my heart's content, and now that Tiny Glade is finally here, this drop-dead gorgeous castle-building game can be added to that list. Pull up a chair, grab a cup of tea, and prepare to lose yourself in the vibes.
