June Devlog
Hello everyone!
First of all, we would like to thank the players of the Midnight Heist demo and the feedback it has received. The demo is only a small fraction of what you can expect in the full game. We take every comment, idea, and constructive criticism into consideration in order to constantly improve. In this devlog, we'll go over changes we've been working on up until the demo and will continue to work on.
Side tasks

In Midnight Heist, the main objective is to hack various devices in order to steal data from them that is relevant to the client. This is the only requirement to successfully complete a heist. However, we have included side tasks to make each heist more interesting. Each company hides illegal activities, from which you can take pictures to get extra rewards. Each illegal activity is different, but in the near future it will be recognized by your smartphone, so you will be able to identify it more easily.

In addition to normal loot like electronic valuables, important documents, or cash, each heist will also include one or more announced "rare valuable" for you to steal. This will be shared throughout the team so that everyone gets some. Afterwards, you can sell these special valuables in the black market on your hideout's computer, but beware: the black market has a different demand all the time, so the price can fluctuate.

Furthermore, numerous other side tasks are planned to make each heist even more exciting. Again, your feedback will be very important, feel free to send us your ideas.
Horror elements and dangers

In each heist you will be able to find lockers and bathrooms where you can hide from danger. However, there are other methods to avoid the dangers. The player's movements create noise, the more you move and especially the faster you move, the louder you are. On the other hand, if you sneak, you don't create noise and you won't be found as quickly.

We are still planning a big new change in this regard: in the future it will be possible to be protected once in the light. If there is electricity and you stand in the light while the danger is attacking the player, the light will be destroyed and the player will be protected. But beware, the danger is by no means stupid.
Unlocking doors

Some doors in Midnight Heist are specially protected. There are the electronically protected doors and the mechanically protected doors. The electronic ones can be hacked by holding the smartphone to the keypad.

The mechanically protected doors, on the other hand, have to be unlocked with some skill. Classically, with a screwdriver and a lockpick.
Tutorial

We have introduced a tutorial level that explains to new players how things work. This level will be constantly updated with upcoming changes so that all mechanics in the game are explained. We strongly recommend to play this level at least once
Main Menu

The menu has received major changes in appearance and functionality. While we can't show everything yet, here are some impressions from the demo:
Controls and controller support

Midnight Heist has got full controller support, as well as the possibility to remap all buttons. With this we want to offer as much flexibility as possible and new ways of playing that you didn't have before.
