Hello Hunters,

We are dropping this Hotfix to address three issues:

• Fixed, once and for all, the Flamethrower not playing the VFX occasionally.
  
• Fixed some out-of-map Dracula clone exploits.
  
• Fixed a "fall out of bounds" exploit in Yuki Vale by adding a collider that will now kill you if you attempt to exploit it.
  

A lot of players have been trying out the Special Holiday Challenge! It's been incredibly exciting to watch the battle for the top positions. So far, the top two players have discovered a secret that boosted their scores! Will you uncover it too? The challenge will be live until January 6th at 10:00 AM PST.

2024 was an incredibly special year for us. Vampire Hunters evolved significantly during Early Access, culminating in an amazing 1.0 release in October. We poured a lot of love into crafting Vampire Hunters, and it’s been so rewarding to see players really loving it.

It's that time of the year when the nice kids get a special present. We know you all have been great hunters, so we have a special update for you!

Vampire Hunters is in the Christmas mood! Santa engineered some of the weapons so you can help him distribute all the presents. Some enemies and characters are also ready for the Christmas parade, and you can play while listening to two theme songs!

That's not all! We have a special holiday challenge, a lot of bug fixes, and a new season for the leaderboard! Are you ready to get to the top!?

The Christmas theme and holiday challenge will be live until January 6th at 10:00 am PST, so you can have plenty of time to enjoy the special content! Oh, and if you don't enjoy the Christmas theme, you can turn it off by disabling the seasonal content in Settings -> Gameplay.

Winter Madness! You only score when inside the presents area! Play on Yuki Vale without Carina or Hercules and get the highest score.

[h2]New Leaderboard Season:[/h2]

Like a challenge? Now is your chance to get to the top of the leaderboard!

You can still access last season's leaderboard and check your score and all the highest scores.

And there's more! We have fixed an unintentional exploit that was giving a gigantic boost to some scores. The Ghost is no longer giving extra score when killed in Hercules runs. The Ghost will only give you extra score when killed in mission runs, as that was always our intention.

[h2]Bug Fixes:[/h2]

• Fixed an issue where the Orb passive weapon was pushing XP and Gold away in Classic Mode.
  
• Fixed a bug that was corrupting the save files. It was linked to the last Hotfix, where we fixed the issue that was causing your character to always reset to Scout when going back to the main menu. If your save has been corrupted due to this issue, you can open the game, and it will automatically restore it.
  
• Fixed a bug where some results were not registering correctly in the leaderboard.
  
• More robust Flamethrower VFX playing behavior to improve the issue of no flame particles.
  
• Fixed Soulstormer projectiles not hitting Eye Tyrant.
  
• Fixed Dracula's Dark Pact Evocation skill (start with Underworld Portal) not working correctly.
  
• Fixed some Japanese text inconsistencies, thanks to the help of our players.
  
• Fixed Contract Gluttony text to reflect its behavior: After that cooldown time, you get two Blood Skill charges.
  
• Fixed Strong and Proud in-game achievement description.
  
• Fixed a Classic Mode in-game achievement text error - from Hunt 350 Phantom Skulls to Hunt 350 Ghost Skulls.
  
• Fixed Shield Generator name; it was Shieldgenerator before.
  
• Fixed Sledgenator level 5 special effect text: "weapon" instead of "weapons".
  
• Fixed Killerfrost level 3 text: "projectiles" instead of "projects".
  
• Fixed Soulstormer level 5 text: this weapon's damage increases instead of your damage increases.
  
• Fixed more Dracula Clone exploits.

We are releasing this hotfix to address a bug introduced in the Weekly Challenge where your character would reset to Scout every time you returned to the main menu.

It's time for a new challenge! Today is Friday the 13th, and we're also running our first discount since the 1.0 launch. So, this has to be a super special challenge!

[h3]Your mission: Kill Dracula as quickly as possible! BUT WAIT! You must defeat every boss he summons before taking him down.[/h3]

The best part? This challenge is open to everyone! You can participate even if you haven’t unlocked Dracula's Cave yet. This is the perfect chance to get a sneak peek at what’s in store for the final stage!

You can access the challenge from the main menu, and it runs from Friday at 10:00 AM PST to Monday at 10:00 AM PST. But beware! The Hercules constellation is disabled to prevent players from arriving too overpowered for Dracula’s battle. Also, make sure the Carina constellation isn’t equipped, as Dracula won’t appear in Endless Mode.

We can’t wait to see how fast you can take down Dracula and his bosses! Good luck, and have fun!!!
