We are excited to announce that Dark Hours will be featured at the Steam Next Fest with an updated demo! This is the perfect occasion to give it a try and share a good moment with your friends.

Many players have asked for a solo mode, and your requests have been heard! It will be available for the Steam Next Fest n Monday, so be sure to check it out. Of course, we strongly recommend playing with others to get the full experience.

Additionally, the demo will be localized into different languages to allow as many players as possible to enjoy it in their preferred language. Don't hesitate to check if yours is included.

[h2]What is Dark Hours?[/h2]

Dark Hours is a co-op survival horror game for 2-4 players.

Your heist has been disrupted by a supernatural event, and your team of robbers is now trapped with an evil entity. Forget your plan, your mission is to survive.

Explore and cooperate to find a way out or hide and wish for daylight.

We’re thrilled to announce that a brand-new update is now available for our demo, packed with bug fixes, improvements, and exciting new features!

Your feedback has been invaluable, and we’ve been working hard to improve the demo over the past two weeks.

Here are some of the major improvements and features included in this update:

• General improvements on the Hidebehind AI
  
• You can now kill your friends with the crowbar (be the first to strike)
  
• Addition of Safes
  
• New animations for robbers
  
• Lighting improvement
  
• Break the display windows with the crowbar to steal items

Gameplay:

• Push Interactions: Fixed an issue where players could get caught while lifting gates. The action will now be canceled correctly.
  
• Item Swap: Players can now swap items between the quick inventory and backpack even if both are full.
  
• Mini-Game Fixes: Ensured mini-game success is correctly handled and prevented double endings for mini-games.
  
• Revive Interaction: Fixed issues when interacting with downed players for revival.
  
• Spectator mode: Improvement on spectator mode
  
• Control Room Door: The control room door no longer shows an interaction prompt until unlocked.
  
• Gate Interaction: Fixed an issue where lifting a grille would not correctly reset its position if interrupted.
  
• New: “Push” animation when the player is crouching or crawling
  
• New: “Knock knock” animation when the player is crouching or crawling
  
• New: Add Safes.
  

Monster:

• Behavior Enhancements: Various improvements to the monster's behavior and animations.
  
• Capture Timing: Fixed issues with the monster's capture timing and interaction with lights.
  
• Speed Increase: The monster now accelerates after two seconds of pursuit but loses target memory faster to encourage evasive maneuvers.
  
• Action Delay: Reduced the maximum delay between two actions of the monster from 0.5 seconds to 0 seconds.
  
• ADD: Monster doorway passage animation
  

Interface:

• VFX: Updated VFX for small lights
  
• UI Enhancements: Add new layouts for “dying” and “reviving” overlays
  
• Objective Feedback: Added new objective feedback for better clarity.
  
• Error Messaging: Added error messages when kicked from a room.
  
• End Game Menu: Fixed appearance and navigation issues in the end game menu.
  
• Lobby Rework: Updated lobby with map selection, equipment preview, and an invite code hide/show feature.
  
• Invite code: Fixed invite code font
  
• Inventory Toggle: Fixed the issue where items wouldn't toggle properly in the inventory.
  
• Stamina: Stamina bar affected by carried weight.
  

General:

• Lighting: Ambiance improvement
  
• Localization: Added French localization for the game.
  
• Breakable Glass: Players can now break display case glass.
  
• Inventory Management: Improved inventory updates for actions like swapping items between quick inventory and backpack.
  
• Gamepad Navigation: The game is now fully navigable and playable with a gamepad without losing focus.
  
• Motion sickness: New options: Camera shakes and activate a reticle.
  
• Invite code streamers: By default, the code is hidden.
