Experimental Version Update

Our (almost daily) experimental update just went live!

If you want to be the first to see the new features that will come to Unrailed you are in the right place!

You can access the experimental version via right click on Unrailed -> settings-> Betas.
Note that changes are not yet complete and things might change depending on your feedback.

Changelog v-395-8ce815e:
- New: 26 additional soundtrack versions added for night/rain/ebb. Each existing soundtrack will dynamically transition to another version at night, when it’s raining and during ebb/tide (on island interchange)
- New: Sound effects for the new Action-Cartridges added
- Improvement: Darker player UI color palette for more contrast
- Balance: Torpeboss has a more lava focus attack pattern if players are building far ahead
- Balance: Extra life cartridge is now rare, cap at 4 (before it was 10). After respawning once, you only 1 heart until the next station where you get all replenished
- Revert: Reverted bucket buffing with radius
- Change: Players can drink out of the bucket only when carrying nothing
- Change: 13 wagons is the max for now. It’s actually the same as before but we make it explicit, to avoid wagons bugging around in the shop. We can think of increasing the limit if there is interest for it
- Improvement: When throwing a bucket and it was being emptied, it’ll visually fly back to the thrower
- Improvement: Magnet perk gets now only milk out of the bucket when the player has no temporary buff yet (and the player is carrying something)
- Bug fix: Players dropped tools when trying to drink milk with a tool
- Bug fix: Custom maps had the wrong biome background
- Bug fix: Bucket icon in bucket-bubble was sometimes wrong
- Bug fix: Filling bucket with milk sometimes showed the waterbar
- Bug fix: Torpeboss could be killed by moving a water tower on it

Changelog v-394-c7ea78c:
- Improvement: The bucket with milk acts now similar to the bucket buff in U1; The bucket has a certain radius when milk is in it and a timer that only (!) goes down when one ore more players are in the radius. All players in the radius get the buff. However, giving milk explicitly to players is now disabled. It’s rather experimental and probably needs some changes but I’d like to know whether this could be a welcome change
- Freeze fix: Freeze when entering a biome transition station
- Balance: Using hurry, jetpack and ghost cartridge avoids you slowing down on spider webs
- Bug fix: Extra stock chests not working correctly
- Bug fix: Players could continue carrying large stacks even after the crocodile milk was depleted
- Bug fix: In split input mode on the keyboard, it was not possible to hold-press the action-button

Changelog v-393-4490abe:
- New: "Extra stock" shop/chest/vault/blacksmith modifier giving a greater selection (eg more cartridges, more chest items, more extensions) and level 2 wagon in shops
- Improvement: Player ring is rendered above most elements (similar to the outline) and uses only the lower half
- Improvement: More balanced cartridge sampling in vaults and boss rewards
- Bug fix: Cartridge overwriter could sometimes remove a wrong cartridge
- Bug fix: Magnet perk didn’t work close to map borders (regression)
- Bug fix: Long map perk didn’t work anymore (regression)

Experimental Version Update (Update)

Another experimental update!
We're slowly digging through the backlock of issues and ideas :)
Thanks as always for all the feedback!

Changelog
- New: Number of player lives will now be displayed above the player ui
- Improvement: It’s possible to remap the cartridge-action button in the settings
- Improvement: Reduced controller analog stick input bias (it had been reported the walking in a straight line was difficult with the controller in some cases)
- Improvement: Performance improvements for the magnet-cartridge
- Improvement: You can now milk animals from a carriage wagon
- Improvement: Junk perk is now displayed last in the player ui
- Improvement: Stomp animation added
- Improvement: Action cartridge reloading is now visualized in the player ui and in the player ring
- Change: Players can’t drink milk (anymore) as long as they have a milk buff active
- Change: Disabled milk auto-pick with magnet-cartridge
- Bug fix: Removed colorful (debug) rendering in cartridge hub
- Balance: Animals attached to the milk wagon can’t be hit with the axe/pickaxe anymore
- Balance: Can’t mine animals on carriage wagon anymore
- Balance: Cartridge vaults now only appear on the hard-path on extreme maps. (Eg if you have a lot of nether cartridges s.t. you’d have multiple extreme maps to choose from, only one of them will have a cartridge vault). Also there won’t be 3 cartridge vaults in a row
- Bug fix: Speed cartridge did not get correctly compensated with carrying speed decrease
- Improvement: Lower max particles emitter cap on low and very low settings
- Bug fix: Bot doesn’t correctly detect the next iron to mine when tide is up
- Bug fix: Objects were sometimes invisible (please write us if you still have this issue)

Small update as there was an annoying regression:
