Patch Update: Version 0.2.0.6

Hey all,

Here are some much-needed fixes. Big thanks to those who pointed them out.
Bug Fixes
• Chapter One, Day Two: Bert and Gertie will now react appropriately to whether you have met previously or not.
 • Chapter Two, Day One: Fixed convo bugs with Jim.
 • Chapter Two, Day Two: Fixed convo bug with Beau.
 • Chapter Two, Day Two: Fixed narrative continuity in Julianna convo.
 • Fixed collider issues.
 • Quit Game button was added back to the pause menu. This was a carry-on from PAX where it was meant to be temporarily removed.

Hot Fix: ver 0.2.0.5

This is a very quick fix for the end of chapter one when Lachie and Daniel wanted to switch places and play pretend. The dialogue portraits should now be displayed correctly during that final bit of the conversation.

Community Update #11

Hey everyone,

Welcome to the latest community update!

It’s been a busy month and a half, with events and admin keeping us on our toes and slowing down development a bit. Here’s a quick recap of what we’ve been working on and where things currently stand.
Chapter Two Progress
The next update for Chapter Two is still in progress and on track to be released by the end of the year. This update will introduce Lachie’s Diary, additional “wolf sense” interactables, and an entirely new area to explore. After reaching a key milestone with Screenwest, we’ll be diving back into Chapter Two development.
Chapter Three Progress
Chapter Three’s structure is almost complete, and we’re aiming for a release either late this year or early next. Following the initial release, we’ll focus on refining and polishing the content.

One of the most exciting new features in Chapter Three is the increased freedom to explore. This chapter’s narrative naturally lends itself to a more open approach, so you’ll finally be able to visit any location at any time—a request many of you have had since the early chapters. The shift in freedom is intended to mirror the evolving story, which is why it was held back until now. Once Chapter Three is out, and if the feedback is strong, we’ll explore the possibility of bringing this freedom to Chapters One and Two—no promises, though! 😉
Showcasing the Game
We recently had the opportunity to showcase the game at two major events! It was both exciting and, honestly, a little exhausting. A huge thank you to the amazing people who helped out at the booths—you made a huge difference, and I couldn’t have done it without your support.

It was incredible to meet so many wonderful people, discuss the game, gather feedback, and even make a few quick fixes along the way. Special thanks to the wonderful person who pointed out an issue with the demo build on Steam; thanks to her, I was able to fix it within minutes.

Pixel Expo was the first stop, a lively WA event that showcases all things gaming and animation. I decided to try a 3x3 booth packed with my trusty trees and a stand-up table to show off the demo. The event gave me a chance to check out some amazing indie games from local creators. Two games jumped out at me, Monster Snap and GhostCam, which are VR games where you're a spooky investigator.

The highlight, though, had to be when a toddler wandered by, spotted one of the hidden wolves in the tree, and let out an enthusiastic “Awooo!” 🌲🐺💖

Next up was PAX Aus. I loved every moment and am already crossing my fingers to return next year. The energy and warmth from everyone, from game devs to content creators to attendees, was just amazing, and I couldn’t have felt more welcome.

A sweet bonus? Running into the mother of the little “Awooo” toddler! It was like a full-circle moment that made the whole weekend feel even more connected. 🐺💖
Content Creators
I want to give a quick shout-out to the content creators who have shared their playthroughs—you’re helping spread the word, and it means the world! If you'd like me to feature your channel, feel free to reach out directly, or post in the Steam Discussion or Discord server.

A nice big open space you can explore.

Patch Update: Version 0.2.0.4

Hey all,

There were a few major bugs that slipped through the cracks and have now been fixed.

As always, please report any bugs or issues that you may encounter.
Bug Fixes and Tweaks
• The Resume and Quit buttons were missing from the main menu. This was a side effect of the PAX demo. You can now launch your saved game and exit without pressing Alt + F4 to get out of the game.
 • Chapter Two Bar - The Debug button was showing, which caused the player to skip over days two and three and head straight to the end. You were meant to meet Julianna on Day Two.
 • I’ve adjusted the effect of the Wolf Meter while investigating, it will no longer cause a shift.

Patch Update: Version 0.2.0.3

Hey all,

I bring to you a post PAX patch of some issues people brought up during the event. Apologies for the delay in getting it onto Steam, recovery took a little longer than expected.

A Community Update is not too far behind to give some more info on where the project is at and how previous events went.
Bugs and Tweaks
• Font in dialogue box has been tweaked to be more legible.
 • Bert and Gertie no longer pretend to know you when you never met them the previous day.
 • The lavender no longer magically appears out of nowhere when talking to the witch.
