Dwarf Weekend News #7
It's yet another weekend where it's time to tell everybody what's been going on! This past week we've been doing a lot of bug fixes and updates to help user-experience be a bit more pleasant. At the start of playing a new game, you should see mining is faster than how it was prior and less interference with Experience Gain Perk increasing Max Experience.

[h2]Archaeology[/h2]
We're about to start the process of hiring an artist to create the artwork for the Archaeology update. This will take an unknown amount of time (we'll provide an actual time later) when the new artwork will be completed. In the meantime I can begin creating all the necessary mechanics and features. It's going to be a decently sized major update in the next step for our Roadmap.
[h2]Roadmap[/h2]
We're way ahead of our schedule. I'm super happy about this because I mainly thought we were going to be behind schedule. This allows us to continue to work on newer projects, knowing we're very caught up on Dwarves Mining Idle. You can expect the next few things in the Roadmap earlier than anticipated. The Surface being the biggest update.
[h2]In the meantime[/h2]
While we all wait for Roadmap Major Updates, I have plans to polish the game up more and release more regular updates that were never included in the game's idea board. I don't want to spoil anything since it'll ruin any future surprises we have planned.
After Archaeology, we're going to wait awhile, dish out bug fixes and eventually get to the newer parts of the roadmap. Now, the 'Big Drills' was a very early split decision so it might be skipped entirely as we have nothing for it currently.
