Notice of Update Distribution

The following updates have been made to the Steam version of Resident Evil Revelations [2/7/2024]

* Miscellaneous bug fixes
* Re-deployment of DLC that was previously released

Capcom rolls back Resident Evil Revelations update that caused performance problems and crashes as fans accuse it of trying to sneak in DRM in order to kill mod support




Capcom is facing accusations from fans that it's quietly adding new DRM to its older games on PC, in what appears to be an attempt to crack down on the use of mods. But the process went from "quiet" to "very noisy" after a recent update to Resident Evil Revelations caused slowdown and crashes, and prevented some mods from working. Shortly after the update went live Capcom rolled it back, but said it will be re-released once the problem is resolved...

Due to an issue observed with the latest update released, we have reverted the corresponding update.

Windows🄬 XP, Windows Vista🄬 and Windows🄬 7 operating systems (OS) users: Microsoft has ended support for these OSes, so Capcom will also remove them from the list of supported OSes for this title as of April 24, 2022. Beyond this date, support for gameplay on any unsupported OSes can only be offered for previously known issues, and Capcom will not be able to troubleshoot any new issues.
