CraftCraft 1.1: Endless Mode + Story Update

[p]Greetings all you wonderful Crafters![/p][p][/p][p]Oak here, bearing some excellent news for you. We are happy to release our first major feature and content update, bringing with it an expanded ending, 2 brand new characters with their own quests, and the much-request Endless Mode![/p][p][/p][p]We have been reading (and reacting to) your feedback and we have seen what you have been wishing for. It was clear shortly after release that an Endless Mode was the single most requested feature for the game, so we got cracking on it immediately. Mind you, this is just the start for the Endless Mode and more variation, content, and mechanics will arrive there as time goes by and as we improve and expand the main storyline as well. That being said I do hope y'all have fun with it and we are always open for suggestions on how to improve it! [/p][p][/p][p]Some of the things we have been considering: having some characters from the Story Mode pop in occasionally, random events, bulk orders, more scavengables (and items generally), more romance interactions, and quite a bit more. However, all of it will take time and of course we need to prioritize things based on what you, our players, would request as well. Rest assured that we will be adding even more cool stuff into the game - eventually we want to add new crafting mechanics, too![/p][p]You can access the Endless Mode, either from the Main Menu when clicking Start, or when finishing a Story run - and yes, you can load your old savegames at the end of the game and continue from there![/p][p][/p][p]As for the story, we have added an additional final encounter with Saskia at the end of the game and expanded upon the ending slideshow with new slides, voiceover, and music! [/p][p][/p][p]There are also 2 new characters, Lady Maureena and Spinstress Marjati, with their own brand new quests and dialogues. We have also modified the quest structure of the day, spreading out characters that were once rolled randomly inbetween other quests to always be present. We just weren't happy with the way that we were rolling these characters into the story, so we decided to just put them all in anyway. NOTE: This change *may* end up in some quests running twice for some existing savegames, but it would only happen once during that specific run.[/p][p][/p][p]And finally, we have also improved the stability of the game, so it should now play a bit more smoothly and have less crashes. We will look into optimization more in the future too, we are aware that having a LOT of items in your drawers can make the game hitch up a bit.[/p][p][/p][p]So yeah, that's our big update for now! Thank you for being patient with us and please make sure to take advantage of our sale (Craftcraft is -15% off!) and of course, our Craft & Taxes bundle for an extra discount if you already own Death and Taxes or want to get both games![/p][p][/p][p]Do let us know about your experience in Endless Mode and what you would like us to add to the game on Discord or here on Steam![/p][p][/p][p]Keep on craftin'[/p][p]-Oak

PPS: Yes we are still planning on localizing the game to more languages, we just need time to plan it ahead, we will share more once we have more details - thank you for your patience![/p]

[p]Hi Crafters!

Thanks again everybody for all your feedback and love, we are working hard to make the game experience as smooth as possible!
[/p][p]Even though we will not be directly on sale for the summer sale, you can find us in the Craft and Taxes bundle! Buying it as Death and Taxes is on sale will be cheaper for you to get CraftCraft ^_^ And also we will have our recorded gameplay video stream up for the duration of the summer sale, too. [/p][p] Please take a look at all the other lovely games we are bundling up with as well! [/p][p][/p][p]Craft Goblin![/p][p][/p][p]Coffee Craft![/p][p][/p][p]All the best, [/p][p]Leene ♡[/p]

Patch 1.0.50 - Blueprint Bonanza & Future Plans (+SUMMER SALE INFO!)

[p]Hello again Crafters![/p][p]Oak here. I'm happy to bring you a new patch with even more delightful changes to improve your experience as an artisan in lovely, breezy Windspell![/p][p][/p]
  • [p]We upgraded the engine version to Godot 3.6.1, hopefully finally fixing all of the remaining issues with a crash upon clicking on the Character Name text box in Character Creation and also any crashes with moving from Character Creation into the game[/p]
  • [p]Blueprints have been re-worked
  • again* to streamline the process - now all you have to do is fill out blueprints, and no confirmation is needed! There are visual and audio cues to show you once the blueprint is full enough to present to the customer and the existing icon with the checkmark is also there to help - so, no more click n' hold, just fill out the blueprint and it will automagically confirm![/p]
  • [p]The cash register crank has now been bulletproofed to work more consistently across various hardware, and should not get stuck anymore! If this still happens to you, please let me know.[/p]
  • [p]Outlines for scavengable items have been improved, hopefully making their visibility better in the scavenging areas, and their collision areas have been increased so it should be easier to click on them now.[/p]
  • [p]Erik's Compass quest should give you correct scores for sigils that have been correctly placed at all times[/p]
  • [p]Starting rotation for an item on top of a patch of glue should not make it stick now[/p]
  • [p]Buying the wire bag objectives should now correctly only show if you
  • haven't* bought the wire bag yet[/p]
[p][/p][p]Even though we're not on sale during the Summer Sale with CraftCraft because our game released too close to it, you *can* still get CraftCraft at a neat -15% off using our BUNDLE with Death and Taxes! It's cheaper than buying just CraftCraft alone, and of course, if you already own Death and Taxes, it will be even cheaper for you. Give it a thought ^_^[/p][p][/p][p]We've updated the demo for CraftCraft as well! It's now up to date with the latest crafting systems and quality of life improvements! Savegames from the demo are *NOT* compatible with the full game, but we have discussed the possbility of having that option in the future. No promises yet, though.[/p][p][/p][p]Additionally, I'm happy to give you an update some of our future plans with CraftCraft![/p][p]We've been reading through all of the feedback you've left us on the Steam discussions, on Discord, on our e-mail together with Leene, and we have identified some features that are pretty much universally requested.[/p][p][/p][p]The biggest one of those is an Endless Mode. I'm happy to say that we have already started work on that! It's hard to give you an estimation when exactly it will land, but I'm going to put my full focus on it starting next week. We will also likely have a limited "beta test" for that once we get the actual loop going with generating customers and their requests, but it's too early to talk about specifics here. It is coming, hopefully during the summer (fingers crossed) as soon as we feel satisfied with it. If we need testers for the Endless Mode, I'll let y'all know here and on Discord.[/p][p]Furthermore, we are still improving the user experience and quality of life features to make your playtime more comfortable and less frustrating. We will try to focus on adding some more feedback to things happening and work on some in-game tutorialization. These improvements will be rolled out bit-by-bit in more frequent updates.[/p][p]Since we've managed to fix most of the stability issues (thank you all for your patience about this, seriously!) we are also moving to get you more characters and quests into the game! We have 3 quests that haven't made it in yet, and we will try to get those in as soon as possible. However, our main quest coder Quiji will be taking a well-earned vacation for the next 2 weeks, so we don't yet know exactly when those quests will arrive, but it will likely together be with some of the UX/QoL improvements that I just teased. Also - did you know Quiji has made other games before as well? Check out their game The Black Pepper Crew right here on Steam![/p][p]Of course, we're also going to focus on any critical bugs that may arise, and we do still have a few less annoying ones in the pipeline, but do know that we are constantly improving the state of CraftCraft ^_^[/p][p][/p][p]Last but not least, we had a small competition going for blueprint designs in our Discord! And the winner is demonkai789 with their submission below![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Creepy! I love it though. This blueprint will be added as a craftable option in a future update. Congratulations to demonkai789![/p][p][/p][p]Alright folks, that's it for now. The engine upgrade has been a long time coming and we're still not sure if there are any new issues brought up with the version change, so as always, if you see something that's not working right, please do let us know. Always happy to make your crafting lives easier

Hotfix 1.0.39 - Geode Galore

  • Simplified Karwathi's Necklace quest a little bit - it does not require a confirmed Blueprint now
  • Adjusted cash register crank to be more responsive on all types of input
  • Fixed crash when cracking geodes (mostly happened when cracking multiple geodes simultaneously)
