End of the first Playtest

It's an experience that's both rewarding and terrifying.

For the first time, a large number of players tested Mémoriapolis

We'll take the time to analyze all the responses in detail, but the first thing to note is that the feedback, however critical, has all been very kind, and that, I can tell you, is good for the whole team!

A big thank you to everyone, and a special thank you to those who were kind enough to answer the questionnaires, especially the long version. We love you guys! ːsteamthumbsupː

See you in a few weeks for a new version with lots of new features and....the save option !!!

Playtest opening!

It's a great day for the whole 5PM STUDIO team ːsteamhappyː

Throughout the week you can test Mémoriapolis and tell us what you think by answering the questionnaire available via the game's main menu.

The questionnaire is in two parts: a short version to give us a quick initial feedback, and, if you have a little more time, a longer version to give us a better understanding of what you liked and what we still need to work on.

The game is in Beta phase, which means that it contains a large proportion of the features of the future early access version. Some features will be added later, and will probably be the subject of new playtests.

We've spent the last few weeks ironing out as many bugs as possible, and making your experience pleasant and straightforward. Unfortunately, we haven't managed to build a solid, bug-free save into this version. It is therefore impossible to save your game in this version.

Expect to play for around 2 hours to get a good idea of the initial game mechanics, which we hope will soon make you want to play again to try out other features.

Don't hesitate to get in touch via Discord or the Steam forum if you have any questions or comments.

The whole team joins me in thanking you. Enjoy the game!

The Senat (Antiquity)

The Senate is the first building to be used for political purposes in Memoriapolis. In ancient times, your city was part of a democracy inspired by Athens, where elected magistrates were drawn at random and renewed on a regular basis. As leader of the city, you always have a seat in the Senate.

The building

Through politics, you can pass decrees that will have an impact on your city for as long as you choose. This allows you to respond to or anticipate certain ongoing crises.

The majority of magistrates must vote in favour of your decree if they consider it to be in their best interests; but don't panic, every politician can be corrupted...…ːsteamfacepalmː

Get the Senate to vote on decrees

The world changes with each period, and so does the political system.

Tip: You can only have one decree at any one time, so it's best to always have one active. Favour short durations to anticipate and long durations to respond to a problem. ːsteamhappyː

It's Buildredi !

Let me explain.
Every Friday, the development team releases an official Build of the game.
This is a stable, testable version that our head tester (ːsteamthumbsupːCarla) will be testing throughout the following week to identify bugs and balancing problems.

This version is official because, to be honest, we're currently doing a Build a day (yes, our team is wonderful) but Friday's is the one!

So we've renamed this day Buildredi. (It's fun in French, not so much in English)

Last Christmas we organised a Secret Santa within the team, and who knows why I got this magnificent mug as a present, with its non-subliminal message trying to reassure me that, yes, every Friday is going to be fine. Well, on the whole, it's going pretty well, that's true.

And what's more, I've got a wonderful coffee mug!

So there you have it, you've understood that on Fridays we increment the version. Today it's number 0.189.xx with a whole bunch of updated stuff and some really cool additions! The team is working hard to ensure that next week's playtest version is as clean as possible.

Did I tell you when the playtests start?ːsteamhappyː

Best regards
