Oblivion-in-Skyrim mod Skyblivion gets a 2025 release window and new trailer

The team of modders working to bring The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion into Skyrim has updated us with a new trailer, announcing that they’re targeting 2025 to launch the Skyblivion project. By that point, volunteers will have been hammering away on Skyblivion for 13 years. If you remember what you were doing 13 years ago then you’ve got a better memory than I do. Watch the latest and rather snazzy trailer for Skyblivion below, and wonder whether Emperor Uriel Septim VII sounds more like Patrick Stewart or Sean Connery.

Oblivion mod lets you order real pizza in the Bethesda RPG

We know gaming can leave you feeling peckish, so now an Oblivion mod lets you order a pizza in the classic Bethesda RPG game and have it actually arrive at your doorstep. Ever since the introduction of a Pizza Hut collaboration with MMORPG EverQuest II in 2005 that let players type /pizza into the in-game chat window to order a delicious dinner without so much as minimising their game, the idea of ordering real food through a virtual world has been a lofty aspiration. Now, you can do just that in The Elder Scrolls IV.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is free with Amazon Prime this month

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is among the free games for Amazon Prime subscribers this month. Though often overshadowed by its sequel, Skyrim, there are some fans who would say that it's the better of the two and it certainly offers a memorable RPG experience.

When it released back in 2006, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was the big fantasy game. If you've always been a fan of Skyrim but never ventured into any of the other Elder Scrolls game, this would be an excellent time to do so. While it's more primitive than its successor in some ways, it still provides a beautiful and immersive open world to explore in which you can easily spend hundreds of hours.

This is the Game of the Year Deluxe Edition, too, which means that it comes bundled with both of the expansions, Knights of the Nine, and Shivering Isles. With Amazon Prime, you'll receive a code to download the game for free on GOG.com, but only if you have an active subscription and claim it before May 2.

Oblivion and a shock Doom crossover are free on Prime Gaming

The Amazon Prime Gaming free games for April have been revealed, and include The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, the latest Plants vs Zombies shooter, and arguably the best adventure game of all time. It also includes a surprise Doom Eternal DLC crossover with id Software's first gaming hero.

Members can head over to the Prime Gaming homepage now to claim all of these free games and DLC packs. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Game of the Year Edition is obviously the highlight if you don't own it already. While Skyrim is the more popular RPG game these days, its predecessor helped set the template for the entire open-world game genre. The GOTY deluxe edition includes all the game's expansions and DLC - yes, it seems to include the infamous horse armour too.

Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is the latest cartoony online shooter in EA's Garden Warfare series, and looks like the only Origin game on this month's list. Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge Special Edition is not only probably the best Monkey Island game, but it's also arguably the best point-and-click adventure ever made.
