The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion remake could be just months away, and we're not talking about the magnificent fan-project that is Skyblivion. According to a report, an official remake of one of the most memorable entries in Bethesda's action RPG series is just around the corner. Famous for its Patrick Stewart-voiced emperor and near-psychic guards, this beloved game, which also featured Sean Bean, may well be with us as soon as spring.

Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion's rumoured Unreal Engine remake has a new take on stealth, stamina and blocking, say rumours

A new report has thrown fuel on the fire labelled "Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion remake". Don't ask me why people have started labelling fires. It's probably a rite to summon a Daedra, or something. Anyway, a new version of Bethesda's somewhat scorned 2006 RPG is allegedly in the works at Singapore-based Virtuos. If rumour speak true, it's being made in Unreal Engine 5, and will feature changes to core systems like blocking, stamina, and sneaking.

An The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake has been doing the rounds on the rumour mill for a while now, and according to an an apparent leak, we now might have learned some details about some gameplay systems which've been reworked for it.

Skyblivion, the massive modding project that’s remaking The Elder Scrolls IV in Skyrim’s engine, is now in its currently scheduled release year - 2025.

Although Skyrim has been ported and re-released to numerous platforms, Oblivion didn't enjoy the same ongoing attention. A remaster has been touted, but since Bethesda has Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6 to worry about, that might take a while. Enter: Skyblivion, a complete remake of Oblivion in Skyrim's engine that's due this year, 2025, and a status update reveals the finish line is in sight - but the team needs help.
