Missions

Welcome aboard Commanders! 👋

Today we’d like to report more details about the missions you’re going to take during your time on our Nuclear Sub. ☢️

We’ve got a broad scope of operations and targets which are essential for our victory. In general, you could split them into 5 types- recon, escort, tracking, search&destroy, information runs. Currently preparations for the missions are all the same in every case.

Complete each task diligently because your reputation is on the line. For each successful mission you’ll receive a reputation reward which is used to upgrade your submarine. 👍

The amount of reputation you’ll receive will depend on the difficulty of the mission as well as the kind of mission you’re taking. Some of them will have additional tasks which you won’t have to take but you’ll miss out on the additional points. Keep in mind it’s not a shame to complete only a primary task and retreat to fight another day.

Let’s take a closer look at all the different mission kinds, shall we? 👀
Tracking 🔎
Find the ship in a designated area and track its route for a certain time. Watch out to not be discovered!
Passing information 📝
Pass the acquired report/information to the higher ups like your general.
Escort 🛡️
Help your allies on their route from point A to B. One of the missions not for those of faint heart because enemy units are likely to show up trying to intercept making your mission much harder.
Search&Destroy 💥
Locate your target and neutralize it as quickly as possible- time is of the essence commander. ⌚
Recon 🔭
Sometimes you just happen to be at the right place at the right time. Find the best signal and wait for your crew to decipher the intercepted dialog/message to know what you’re enemies are up to.

Some of the missions will be triggers for others so failing is not an option. You have to stay focused and at the top of your game every single moment!

We’d love to hear your opinions on the missions. Please let us know in the comments below or on our discord! 👇 Don’t forget to add our game to your wishlist if you’d like to get notified about the upcoming devlogs and information.

How to avoid detection?

Hello Captains! 👋

Today, we’ve decided to give you some more details about sneaking and upgrades! 👍 As we’ve previously mentioned, you can evade enemy ships by stealthy maneuvering around them. With that being said, there are ways for enemies to detect you.

Generally speaking, they can detect you either by hearing you or spotting you with their radars or sight if you happen to emerge too close to the surface.
There are some factors you have to keep in mind while you hide:

1. 👀 Your enemies also have the same devices you use to detect them,

    2. 👂 While moving, your submarine makes sounds, so moving too close to the enemy ship can also lead to being detected,

    3. ↕️ Certain upgrades of your ship can help you hide better, while others make you more likely to be spotted.

Let’s take a closer look at the upgrades system, shall we?
Most of the upgrades are what you could call a double edged sword. They help you raise your ships’ capabilities in one area while making it slightly worse in another. That’s why you need to choose wisely. 🤔

Let’s see how it works in an example. The engine’s updates can go in multiple directions. You can choose to make your submarine faster but at the same time it’ll make the engine create more noise. 🔊 On the other hand, you can decide to sacrifice some of your speed to make the engine work quieter. 🔈

Each maneuver and decision you take has to be wise because coming too close to the enemy or upgrading your devices too much so they create enough noise to make your location known.

And that's all for today, thank you for reading the entire devlog. If you’d like us to tell you more about any other aspect of the game in particular, please let us know in the comments. You can also do it on our discord! 👇 If you enjoyed the devlog and don’t want to miss out on the ones released in the future you can add the game to your wishlist to get notified about every information we publish! 🔥

Scouting Enemies

Hello Commanders! 👋

As you know, naval warfare is an art where even the smallest mistakes can spell your doom, while at the same time every small advantage can turn a dire situation into a heaven sent opportunity.

Today, we’d like to talk about the mechanic which will undoubtedly become vital during your missions. Are you ready to dive into the depths of successful scouting? Let’s find out! 👍

During your gameplay it’ll be of utmost importance to hide yourself from enemy submarines and to dodge them at all costs to finish your missions successfully.

To make such intricate navigation possible, you’ll have a few tools at your disposal. They’ll help you to learn more about the area you’re currently in and where your enemies are. Some of the tools are sonar, radar and the periscope. 🔭

Be careful though! Although you may not be able to notice, everything you do leaves some kind of sign so using any of those tools may also lead enemies to finding out your location.

That’s why as we’ve already mentioned in previous devlogs- there are all kinds of upgrades at your disposal. Some of which offer perks such as more area of detection, quieter work and other advantages which will help you during your missions. 🤫

Don’t forget about your crew. 👱 Your chance of success is in their hands because they’re the ones who react to your orders. Be it correcting how deep you’re submerged, speed and other parameters which can become vital to dodging your enemies or sneaking past enemies safely.

And as a last resort, when everything else fails, you can also resort to violence and use your tools to pinpoint the location of your enemies and neutralize the threat with torpedoes. 💥

As you can see, there’s a lot to consider during your missions. Keep in mind that the models and their appearance which we’re showing you in the devlogs can still be changed as we’re in an early stage of development. If you enjoyed today’s devlog please, let us know in the comments which topics you would like to hear about in future materials. 💪 Don’t forget to join our discord community and to add the game to your wishlists on Steam to get notified about every published information about the game!

Commanding the Submarine

Hello Captains! 👋

Welcome aboard. The crew is all on board and awaits your orders. Today we’re here to make sure you’ll know how to do it and every command you pass to your subordinates brings you closer to accomplishing the set goals. 👍

It’s not easy to be responsible for so many people but in our game we made sure it’s as convenient as possible with the use of a circular menu. As you can see in the screen below, it’s divided into categories to make it more intuitive to use. 🙂

At this point you might have wondered what orders I can give to the crew. 🤔 There are all kinds of them and while some are simple like changing the course of the submarine, its speed or requesting information from radar or sonar, some require serious consideration. We’re talking about loading torpedoes, firing them in specific patterns and more. Are you ready to take those tough calls when the time comes?

That brings us to another important factor- the crew. Although you can give the same order on multiple occasions the time needed to perform the action may warry. That’s because the game takes into consideration the human aspect. 👱 Things like the rank of the officer responsible for that particular section of the submarine or your crew’s morale will play an important part throughout your gameplay. The better officer and morale you have, the quicker your crew will work.

On the other hand, once hunger, lack of sleep and low morale start appearing your crewmates may refuse to execute your orders. 😡 That’s why taking good care of all your people is very important. Make sure their needs are satisfied or else you’ll put the entire operation at risk. ⚠️

There is a lot to consider in that regard so let’s end today’s devlog here. We’re happy to have you with us today and as always, we’d like to invite you to join our discord community 👇 and to add our game to your wishlists on Steam. This will help you stay notified about all the important information!

Submarine pt.2

Hello Players! 👋

Welcome back to our submarine hangar. After the previous devlog, you’ve been asking a lot of questions about the submarine unit which will be available in the game. That’s why today we’d like to shed some more light on this topic! 👍
As we’ve already mentioned, the model ship which is our template is USS Nautilus (SSN-571) - the first submarine in history which was powered by nuclear energy! ☢️
We’re doing our best to maintain the realism while designing the interior. Did you know that because of this innovative power source this submarine could’ve stayed in the field for a few months? 🤯

It’s worth mentioning that the interior looks of the sub will not be altered during your playthroughs but you’ll still be able to enhance its capabilities using various upgrades! 🔧

Thus far all you could’ve seen is a lot of metal and plastic but you can’t stay in such an environment all the time. That’s why the cabins are more cozy, with wood adding some warm color to the overall gray scenery. 🖌️
You’ll spend a lot of time here. This is the place where you’ll manage your unit, give orders to the crew, prepare for the missions and more! Speaking of crewmates, when you look around the ship you’ll get to see them working at their respective spots! 🤩
How fortunate you are to have such a diligent crew working under your command! We’re also doing our best and as always, we’d love to hear your opinions on the game. 🙂 That’s why if you have any questions, suggestions or ideas please, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us here, in the discussion section or on our discord! We’ll gladly have a conversation with all of you! ❤️‍ If you’d like to help the game grow and don’t want to miss out on any important information, please consider adding this game to your wishlists on Steam!
