P-47D Thunderbolt Release

[h2]P-47D Thunderbolt[/h2]
[h3]Release[/h3]

Over the course of the Early Access period, we have been able to fine tune the unique hydraulics, oil, electrical systems, and flight model of the Jug.. We believe that this is our best World War II fighter to date and that it sets a new standard for all our future World War II aircraft.

DCS: P-47D Thunderbolt was used extensively to test and tune our new Damage Model update. It provided a stable platform for general bug-fixing and creating engine damage effects caused by overheating and poor engine management.

We have simulated almost all aspects of this aircraft to create the most accurate representation possible for PC. Don’t miss the last chance to benefit from the 20% Early Access discount and enjoy one of the most loved and iconic allied fighters of the second world war.

[h3]New Artillery Units[/h3]

The ZSU-57-2 is a Soviet Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Gun (SPAAG) with twin S-68 57-mm autocannons that are recoil-operated. It supplements the shorter-range 23-mm gun systems like the ZU-23 and ZSU-23-4. These two 57-mm cannons have a range of 20,000 feet and a far larger blast radius.

The Soviet 57-mm AZP S-60 is a towed, road-transportable, short to medium range, single-barrel anti-aircraft gun from the 1950s. The S-60 and S-68 cannons both feature blast fragmentation warheads capable of bringing down enemy aircraft with a single round.

[h2]F/A-18C Hornet[/h2]
[h3]Development Progress[/h3]

GBU-24 Paveway III
The GBU-24 is a 2,000 lbs-class laser-guided bomb with general purpose and penetrator warheads. It has advanced guidance over the Paveway II bombs and provides extended N range, maneuverability, and attack flexibility. It is designed to defeat high-value, protected targets. The Paveway III is planned for release in December 2020.

AGM-84K
The SLAM-ER is the next land-attack cruise missile coming to the Hornet. Unlike the current AGM-84E SLAM, the SLAM-ER has greater range, a more advanced terminal seeker, a multi-steerpoint navigation system, stealthier radar cross section, as well as greater accuracy when human-in-the-loop guidance is not used.

Unlike the GBU-24, the SLAM-ER has much greater range and the ability to alter terminal targeting. We are also developing the enhanced data link video transmission for these greater distances which we plan to deliver early next year.

AGM-88C HARM
In addition to the current Self Protect (SP) and Target of Opportunity (TOO) HARM modes, we will be adding the Pre-Briefed (PB) mode later this month. This attack mode targets a geographic location and attempts to engage hostiles within range. Because the range is known, the HARM can be lofted and thus giving it greater range than SP and TOO modes.

AGM-84D Harpoon
We will soon be adding the SEA mode to the Hornet’s radar. This will be an effective tool to acquire and engage moving naval targets. The Harpoon can take advantage of known target azimuth and range to use the Range/Bearing Launch (R/BOL) mode for more accurate attacks.

[h2]Tin Shield[/h2]
[h3]Progress[/h3]

We are currently finalising the ST68U mobile three-coordinates radar station (Tin Shield NATO classification). This unit was designed to detect and track low-altitude targets in active and passive interference in the presence of intense reflections from the ground and in adverse weather conditions. It is in service with many CIS countries and the former Warsaw Pact countries.

[h2]BTR-82[/h2]
[h3]Progress[/h3]

This is a seriously updated BTR-80 model. The armored personnel carrier is equipped with the 30-mm 2A72 cannon and has been realised with the troop compartment. BTR-82A is actively used in Syria during patrols by the military police.

Both of these new core assets are planned for release in the next Open Beta 2.5.6, the last of 2020.

[h3]Upgrade[/h3]

As you may be aware, in the last month we updated our forum software. The update caused some
unforeseen disruptions and we apologise for any inconveniences.

On Monday, we will make a major improvement by migrating to a new IPS-based forum engine.
This is being done to iron out bugs in the current forum and to accommodate user traffic whilst
taking advantage of mobile viewing without the need for additional software.

Please note that if you are not able to login, you will have to request a password reset. If you
can login, no further action is required.

BBCode is a legacy markup language that was originally designed to allow users to submit rich
content prior to the advancement of WYSIWYG editors. BBCode will not be supported in the
new forum. All posts with deprecated BBCode will be converted over the next 3 days and after
that, all BBCode support will be switched off forever. markup is not supported by IPS, this BBCode
content can not be converted automatically and will not show.

[h2]DCS: Syria[/h2]
[h3]Development Progress[/h3]

Ugra Media is currently increasing DCS: Syria to a massive 800x600 km map size. The addition
of 18 airfields is also in progress. The final version of DCS: Syria will have a total of 51 airfields
including the United States Air Force base at Incirlik, the Russian Air Force base at Latakia,
and the Royal Airforce bases on the island of Cyprus.

[h2]Fw 190[/h2]
[h3]Lone Wolf Raid RAF Luqa (Fictional)[/h3]

As a Lone Wolf Anton, you are to carry out a bombing raid on RAF Luqa airfield. Your primary
target is an aircraft pan, housing Spitfires being readied to defend the island. You are armed
with a bomb and air-to-ground ammunition belts to destroy the aircraft on the pan. Be prepared
for potential interception. Good Luck!

Four new Instant Action missions are now available for the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 on DCS: Persian Gulf.
These missions provide a great environment and use our latest mission editor features.

[h2]F-14A (late)[/h2]
[h3]Release[/h3]

“The F-14A was the first 4th generation fighter aircraft and needs little to no introduction. It was introduced to a widespread audience early on and has been admired ever since. It’s remarkable capabilities both in. A/A and A/G made sure it remained in service longer than its successors and it is still in active service with the IRIAF today. It’s fame is unparalleled and presents sheer excitement and tough challenges to its pilots.

As we continue on our journey of building the most well known and certainly the most iconic variant of the Tomcat around, we continually re-evaluate what our goals are with the -A and what we want to achieve. Based on this process, we’ve ended up by expanding our original scope, and will be shipping the following F-14A variants in the coming months:

F-14A-95-GR: Early F-14A for IRIAF. These jets will have certain limitations and modifications, such as the lack of TCS and fuel pylons.

F-14A-135-GR (Early): This will be an earlier representation of the F-14A, equipped with the ALR-45 RWR and will also come with a number of minor variations such as early gun vents, alternate de-fog systems, and other minor differences between late and early ALR-45 equipped F-14A’s.

F-14A-135-GR (Late): This version represents a later, ALR-67 equipped F-14A.November 18th saw the release of ALR-67 equipped F-14A-135-GR (Late). While this represents a closer analogue to the current F-14B, it also allowed us to roll out the F-14A in a controlled, stepwise process. The ALR-45 equipped F-14A will not be far behind, which will not only introduce more significant changes in cockpit avionics, but also implement the full overhaul of RWR and EM spectrum emissions upgrades planned for both the ALR-67 and ALR-45.

Wednesday’s patch also included the introduction of yaw strings and a complete sound overhaul among many other items. Check out this short sample video of the new sound here. For more info please see the full changelog.

We hope you thoroughly enjoy the challenge of flying and taming the iconic F-14A!”

Sincerely,
- The Heatblur Team

The dive recovery flaps used for faster pull outs during dive bombing and when in compressibility have
been added to the Flight Model. The water injection system has now been implemented to maximise the power output of the R-2800-59W engine.

Forced water injection causes the turbocharger pressure to increase and actuates a derichement valve
in the carburettor. When water is injected the fuel-air ratio decreases, this provides fuel economy without risk of detonation.

Our on-going work on the new Damage Model has led us to tune the durability of certain structural elements. This has improved G overload limits when the aircraft is damaged.
