Gather 'round, masters of strategy and creative thinkers, for a competition like no other! This is your moment to shine with clever plans, innovative approaches, and stylish victories in Thronefall! We challenge you to outwit, outplay, and outmaneuver your opponents using nothing but your creativity and tactical brilliance. Whether it’s an unexpected gambit, a unique formation, or a daring last-minute reversal, now is the time to show us how you can turn the tide of battle with sheer wit and style!

The event’s deadline is on September 19, 9 AM CST / 4 PM CET. All entries must be submitted by then, and we'll announce the winners shortly after the review process is complete!

[h3]📜 The challenge's rules are as follows:[/h3]
  • This is a competition rated purely by creativity and style. Everything's allowed!
  • You can select any level, weapon, perks, mutators, whatever you need to win with style.
  • Before September 19, 9 AM CST / 4 PM CET , post a video and a detailed description of your strategy in the #twistedtactics channel on our Discord. It has to be an uninterrupted clip of any length.
  • After the deadline, we will review the submissions and choose the winners. (Community votes will play a significant role in the results, so make sure to vote for your favorite submissions!)

Gorgeous strategy game Thronefall is about to get pricier ahead of 1.0

One look at Thronefall is enough to warrant attention. It features a lovely, minimalist art style and a simplified version of the sort of tower defense strategy design popularized by games like Plants vs. Zombies, Kingdom Rush Vengeance, and Defense Grid: The Awakening. All of this comes together to make it one of the most compelling strategy games of the last year. Now, fortunately, Thronefall is also about to leave Early Access for a full version launch, but, along with that, its creator GrizzlyGames has also announced that it plans to increase its price a bit ahead of 1.0.

PRICING CHANGES

Dear Queens and Kings,

Thronefall will leave Early Access soon and with that we plan to roll out a *big* content update. So big in fact that it will bring three brand new maps to the game — as many as we added during the entire Early Access period combined. To reflect that we’d like to increase Thronefall’s price from 9.99$ to 12.99$ (or the equivalent in your country’s currency).

Since games cannot go on discount immediately after a price increase and we do want to release Thronefall’s full version with a celebratory launch discount we unfortunately have to apply the pricing changes some time before the actual release.

It is very important to us to be transparent about our pricing and we want to give you a heads up early enough to make sure everyone gets a fair deal: We’re going to publish the new price of 12.99$ on September 3rd. Until then you'll be able to pick up Thronefall at the old price.

We can’t wait to finally share more about the upcoming content with you soon. As always, thank you all so much for the continuous stream of feedback and support — it means a lot to us!

Hotfix 1.753

Dear All,
this is a small patch to fix two bugs that were brought to our attention:

• Tooltips were not showing when the tutorial was played in the same session. This is now fixed and they should show correctly at all times.

• In the Japanese localisation balancing parameters were not displayed correctly in tooltips and showed the source file name instead. This should be fixed now as well.

UPDATE 1.75

Dear Kings and Queens,

today's small update brings a couple of quality of life improvements and bug fixes to Thronefall. Most importantly we finally replaced the provisional machine translations we used during the development by proper human translations provided by the awesome folks from Level Up Translation. Please let us know if you spot anymore errors or typos in the in-game texts!

It's also possible now to navigate the UI with whatever you configured as your movement keys or buttons. You can find the full list of changes at the end of this post.

As always thank you a lot for providing us with a continuous stream of feedback and support. We're working on may exciting things right now and we can't wait to share Thronefall's big final content update with you later this year!

[h3]Patch Notes 1.75 [/h3]

CHANGES:

• Replaced provisional machine translations with proper human made translations

• UI can be navigated with user configured movement buttons

• We set the default master volume to 0.6 to be more in line with industry standards (only affects new players)

• After winning for the first time on a map you'll only receive unlock notification pop-ups for the new weapon and mutators, not for every unlocked building upgrade to reduce clutter

• Added round edges to remaining hard edged UI elements


FIXES:

• Fixed a bug where the progress display on the overworked showed x/40 crowns achieved when there were only 37 crowns to achieve

• Fixed bug where campaign unlock pop-ups showed even when you lost the match and didn't actually unlock anything

• Fixed bug where the UI window started jittering around wildly when placing the mouse between two temple upgrade options

• Blacksmith melee attack was changed from +20% to +25% in the recent balancing update but the text has not been adjusted, this is now fixed

• Fixed bug where the temple upgrade bar got stuck

• Fixed bug where the tip explaining how to command your units kept showing up every time

• Emergency repairs no longer keeps draining health from other walls once one of your walls collapsed
