[h3]Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days has been nominated for the Most Anticipated Game at the 17th Unity Awards! [/h3]



This is our very first award nomination for the game so it's a pretty exciting moment, especially while we're still in Early Access.

Public voting is open now. You need a Unity account to cast your vote (to make sure it's one person, one vote) but you can make a log in without having to do anything else.

Major New Features

  • [p]Added a new starting pair, Hao and Mei.[/p]
  • [p]Added Survivor Missions for Kayla, Sebastian and Hao. [/p]
  • [p]Added the ability to save multiple runs

[p]If you're a returning player and want to jump straight into the new Survivor Missions, make sure you've finished the tutorial and then:[/p]
  • [p]For Sebastian: Head to The Hitchpost as Sebastian and interact with the flyer. [/p]
  • [p]For Kayla: Hector must be alive. Move to a shelter in the Downtown district. [/p]
  • [p]For Hao: Mei must be alive. Use the Vantage Points at Aunty Mae's Truck Stop Diner or Texway Gas Hart St to unlock the Abandoned Kosyaire Factory in Buckland Yards. Head to the factory as Hao and talk to the NPC.

  • [p]Updated survivor recruitment. When players recruit a new survivor, there will now be variations between runs to their starting health, needs and states. They will also bring items with them when they join. [/p]

  • [p]Improvements to explosion optimization, so there is less stuttering when throwable explosives explode.[/p]
  • [p]A survivor's ledge teeter can now be interrupted. When they stumble close to the edge, the stumble animation can be interrupted so they can immediately go into a ledge hang or go up/down ladders without a delay.[/p]
  • [p] Eva will now die if hit by a brick during her chase sequence. This fixes an issue where hitting her with a brick broke her chase sequence. [/p]
  • [p]Updated the in-game logo.[/p]

  • [p]Fixed an issue where survivors would get stuck floating/falling when they were knocked off or punched close to a ledge.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where human NPCs would jump down and get stuck in Pioneer Motor Company and Wash and Dry Laundry.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where time-based states would not resolve at the right time if a character had multiple states applied.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the icon for the F300 Carbine (previously showing the M5 Cuthbert icon).[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where zombies would get stuck at the bottom of the staircase at Pogo's Greenhaven.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where survivors could run away from the explosion in Nora's ending for Spill Zone and then not get the proper ending. [/p]
  • [p]Fixed a shelter event not occurring when survivors moved into the Chiefways Operations Center while following Otto's path in the Spill Zone plan. [/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the survivors in the Chiefways Operations Center shelter would sometimes get stuck walking in place.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the objective to get a Hazmat Suit from Skip’s Scoops would not appear as failed when players could no longer obtain it.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed missing audio in the Chiefways Transport Depot when Nora appears.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an audio bug where the "turning" audio of a zombified survivor would keep playing in future scavenges if survivors killed the zombified survivor as they turned.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where rogue shadows could appear e.g. a floating weapon shadow in Old Ballard.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the zombie on the other side of the interrogation room window was not seeing the player and breaking the window like it was supposed to. [/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where switching sides while in double-sided cover would cause zombies to forget survivors were there.[/p]

[h2]It's nearly Halloween! [/h2][p][/p][p]Which means it's just about time for Early Access Update #5. Patch Notes: Hotfix v0.7.2

[p]IMPORTANT: Unity recently discovered that games built using affected versions of the Unity engine are potentially susceptible to a security vulnerability. There is no evidence of any exploitation of the vulnerability nor has there been any impact on our players, as far as we know, but we're pushing out a hotfix as a precautionary measure and strongly recommend updating your game to the latest version to keep you safe. We've also taken the chance to include a couple of small fixes.[/p][p]

  • [p]Updated Unity to the latest patch to address a recently discovered security vulnerability. [/p]

  • [p]Fixed an issue where players could have both a dead June and an alive June existing at the same time.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed missing daytime fog in Jay's Motel.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where whole Assault Rifles were appearing in loot. Players should now only find broken Assault Rifles in loot.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where if players used the Vantage Point at the Chiefways Transport Depot to unlock the Chiefways Distillation Towers before getting to the relevant step in the Spill Zone Plan it could cause the flow of objectives to break, causing the player to be unable to progress.[/p]
