How We Handle the Vehicle Handling
Hey everyone!
Driving is a core part of Car Rental Simulator, and we want every vehicle to feel right. That’s why we’ve built a flexible system that lets us fine-tune a wide range of parameters to shape each car’s driving characteristics.

As you can see in the screenshots, we can adjust values such as mass, center of mass, gear ratios, engine power curve, suspension height and stiffness, brake force, wheel settings, aerodynamics, and more. Even small tweaks to these parameters can significantly change how a vehicle behaves - how stable it feels in corners, how quickly it accelerates, or how it reacts to uneven terrain.

Our goal is to create a driving model that feels approachable and enjoyable for everyone, while still allowing each vehicle to maintain its own distinct personality. A lightweight city car shouldn’t behave the same as a heavier SUV, and a sporty model should respond differently from a utility vehicle. We want every car to have a recognizable feel that matches the type of vehicle it’s inspired by.

This tuning process takes time and testing, but it allows us to carefully balance accessibility with character - ensuring driving remains smooth, intuitive, and satisfying throughout the game.

Let us know what you think, and we’ll see you in the next devlog!
