Despite being one of the biggest new releases of the year so far, Monster Hunter Wilds is receiving a battering at the moment. While the content and core systems of the game are mostly well-received, frustrated fans have been voicing their displeasure at the game's performance, especially on PC. Potentially as a result of recent concerns about harassment towards Capcom employees and a tsunami of negative Steam reviews, a lecture on 'making Monster Hunter Wilds run smoothly' has been canceled from an upcoming conference.

I can kick back after a long day of work and watch some incredibly talented speedrunners show off their skills, all while they help raise millions for charity. It's always been a truly heartwarming showcase of what we can do as a community, and I'm sure this year is going to be no different. Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ) 2025 is finally here, with runs in everything from Blue Prince to Monster Hunter Wilds. So it's time to get watching.
